Spectacular Star Wars September Exercise Challenge

We've more than doubled the number of Luke Skywalker Blue participants in just one day! And it was particularly excellent that just about half of our group reported minutes today! (Unfortunately, I was not one of them.)

Today's Star Wars trivia: As I said earlier, Star Wars wasn't expected to be a hit. Only one toy maker (Kenner) responded to licensing offers. But it didn't make enough to satisfy the demand for Christmas 1977, so the "empty box" promotion was born. Instead of figures that didn't yet exist, the boxes contained Early Bird Certificates that could be redeemed for a figure a few months after Christmas when they would be available. If you happen to have one of those Early Bird Certificate Program boxes now, unopened, it's likely worth thousands of dollars.

Compare that to the event beginning at 12:01 a.m. tomorrow, September 4: Force Friday, presenting new merchandise for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which doesn't open until December. It looks like Disney doesn't plan to be caught behind the 8-ball with its merchandise for this movie!

Finally getting some numbers on the board today 51 minutes walking and 20 minutes of back-to-school bootcamp from WW leader challenge brings me to 71/1000. Those two weeks of air quality like Beijing really did a number on my endurance and mojo. Hope I find them again soon! :scared:

Starting the month off slowly. The hubby was on business trip so last night was first night he was home and I could go run.
2 miles at 19:31. Feeling real good about that but it does not contribute much to my totals.
Looking forward to the weekend I have a race expo and shakeout run tomorrow, a race on Sunday + downtown sightseeing, and a giant craft fair with lots of walking with my mom on Monday. Time to catch up!

20/800

20 minutes of walking today. 65/1200. Only 1.5 days until we leave for WDW!!

Have a wonderful time!!

I've never done one of these before but I'm going to give it a try! I'm also going to be realistic and say 600 for this month and do my best!!!!

Welcome!

Missed my long-ish workout on Wednesday but I think I can make it up this weekend...managed a shorter run today, 40 minutes.

77/1500

Three more color-changers today! Congratulations to

As a team, we're at 9.2%, just 174 minutes shy of Luke Skywalker Blue! A color change tomorrow will be a great way to kick off a holiday weekend. And a couple of people are creeping up on C-3PO Orange--maybe our list will get brighter this weekend or early next week.

It seems like a lot of folks are feeling like they got a slow start this month, but it's only the 4th, plenty of time to catch up to those goals. Get out there and enjoy the weekend!

Force Friday seems crazy! I was shopping on Macy's and they're a part of the big event too!

Anyways, I finally got some real exercise in! 55 minutes of swimming puts me at 65/1000. I would've done more but lightning kinda spoiled my outside fun!

My spy (DH) tells me Target had quite a few neat things. Luckily most of them stayed there!:ewok:

A few weeks ago a lightning storm actually spoiled our indoor fun--our indoor pool made everyone vacate the entire pool area (and wouldn't even let anyone take a shower in the locker room).

Glad you're on the board! It's amazing how only a few days off has such an effect, isn't it?

Sounds like you're going to be busy, but a fun weekend!

45 minutes strength training. Wanted to get in a run tomorrow, but then remembered I have all day bachelorette party fun and games. If I end up playing whirlyball, will that count? :bored:

220/1100

Of course! Everything counts.:yay:

Reporting in Ms Hostess - happy, exhausted but proud to say I am logging in with 204/1200 for the first 3 days of the month! I am still riding for today so I will add my active minutes to my current total whenever I finish for today :)

"Ms. Hostess"? I feel so official! And congrats on coming in with such an excellent total for the first few days! You should be proud (and exhausted).
