Spectacular Star Wars September Exercise Challenge

I have a 5k the end of this month and I am starting a new job and I'm ready to get my butt back in gear. Unfortunately, I am suffering horribly today from an inner AND outer ear infection. The pain is severe! I stared meds this morning and I'm hoping they will kick in asap. I doubt I will be up to running or doing my other exercises today because it hurts that much. But I'm hoping to get on track (and be feeling better) tomorrow!

And then I went home and bought a Sweaty Band because I am SO OVER my bangs ending up hanging all wet and gross in my eyes :).

Sweaty Bands are super cute ... so I don't think you really need a reason to buy them!

Nothing for me yesterday. "We" went fishing (meaning DH and DS fished, and my Dad and I sat with our beers and watched them :laughing: ). He occasionally got up to coach DS, and I wandered around the pond and took a bunch of pictures, but there was far more relaxing than walking happening. - It was gorgeous up there, though! I'll try to remember to post a couple of photos when I get them downloaded.

We're going to play tourist today, so I should get more walking in.

I love sweaty bands! I have one with little Chicago flag designs on it that is my fave. Something about the velvety inside really holds onto my hair well without giving me that "I'm wearing a headband" heachache. Maybe I need to see if there are more at the race Expo I am going to on Sat. :)
 
Thank you all for the welcome. When I chose my user name I was part of a rescue group and we had several dogs, cats, fish, lizards and horses. Loved them all! Now we have 2 cats and 2 dogs and about to get a puppy in October. Can't wait!!!

I started off slow yesterday. 39 minutes of HIIT cardio.

Got in 45 minutes of cardio, 30 minute run, and 15 minutes walking total for warm up and cooldown. I also did about 20 minutes of my PT exercises and strength work. So, 65 minutes total for me today. I think I am at 190/1200 total.

I love sweaty bands, but my newer shorter bangs sometimes stick out oddly from them. Anyone have other recommendations? A friend likes BoulderBands? I haven't heard of them so I'll need to do some research...
