Mark Norway & France off the list...with Germany, UK and AA. :tink:

Canada?

Help me find a room request for the WL. :goodvibes Hard to figure out which section won't have construction noise! :headache: Then...a glass of wine and Disboards should do the trick...I'm fading fast...:tink:

There's a WL construction thread over on the resorts boards, maybe it can help tell you where the noise is.

Everyone's happy that Bell Bell is back!

AK? Yes I can't sleep.

This is from HS.

And, it is carved out of wood and it is from an attraction in a park. It is not a nutcracker.

As I remember Ed, you only sleep like 3 hours a night? And yet you can run marathons! Amazing! I wish I could do that when I'm at DW! I need 8 hours of sleep per night and when I'm at DW I only get 6 so I'm really dragging by the end of the week. It's more relaxing at Disneyland. Not so much like playing Disney commando.

That's a lot of ice cream.

A LOT of ice cream! It's hard to explain our loyalty ... Blue Bell was/will be again available in 23 states but it was the 3rd or 4th TOP selling ice cream in the United States! It's been shipped to customers in Alaska, Hawaii...even Europe. President Bush used to have it delivered to the White House. It's a REALLY good ice cream. I'm waiting for my favorite flavor...Milk Chocolate...to go back into production. Guess I shouldn't be in to much of a rush...I lost 13 pounds the past 4 months without Blue Bell. :rolleyes1 :tink:

That's what I've been studying every night! :faint: It gives me a headache! :headache: I am SO "directionally challenged" I can't make "heads or tails" of the "north-south-east-west" stuff. I need to know if it's close to "the Villa's, boat dock, Roaring Forks, lobby..."...:rotfl:. I don't know why I should even care...we're not going to be at the resort during "working hours" anyway  so the noise won't be a problem...I just like a nice view. They called and offered DD a chance to move from the Villa's to another DVC resort and she told them it didn't bother her in the least for that exact reason. AND...the Villa's views are mostly trees anyway (other than the quiet pool views) and the work in that section will be along the beach/shoreline ...:tink:

I think you'll be fine. We were at AKL when they were doing construction. It was so nice because the resort was pretty empty. We pretty much had the pool to ourselves every time we used it. Reading that thread it seems they are losing a lot of rooms to DVC. I wonder if the cabins will be DVC too. That would stink, I bet they'll be nice.

As best I understand, the cabins will be DVC...not 100% sure but seems like it will. They're also converting the Lodge rooms facing the Villas into 1-2 bedroom units and same question there...is it part of DVC? My opinion would be it shouldn't be. There are families of 5-6 that would love to book one of those rooms that are not DVC members. As it stands now, larger families have to rent 2 regular rooms and that doesn't seem fair. They do have "bunk bed" rooms available that sleep 5 which is good. It really doesn't bother me a lot that there will be construction...I just like the nice view from the room in the mornings. Makes the day start out "magical". You're right...there are a LOT of people "jumping ship" which, IMO is stupid....unless you have children still needing that afternoon nap. I can understand the concern then with construction noise. Some previously registered guests are getting pretty good deals to because of the construction. Some are getting reduced rates; others are even getting moved to the monorail resorts without the extra charge those rooms would cost. We're going to ask but here again...it's not a "deal breaker". We won't be there during the day and they normally don't start construction work until 9 AM...at least that's what DD was told. They've called us...and sent a letter (and other registered guests) informing us about the construction and asking if we want to change resorts. We're staying at the WL because (#1) DD was able to book the Villa's after being on the waiting list and (#2) we want to be there for the Christmas decorations. I'd still like to find a room request that would be good for us...close to the boat dock and/or villas which is why I'm trying to figure out what to request. It's a good problem to have! :goodvibes Wish YOU were facing that "problem" too! :goodvibes :tink:

Is it one of the 3 shops when you are entering WS? One from Boardwalk, I think that's International Gateway? and 2 coming from Future World can't remember the names of those.

That's it...World Traders...one of the 2 at the entrance to the WS :jumping1::
