Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

Just wanted to thank everybody for their love and support. Jeanne, Lily, and I really appreciate it. Bob had a super good life, he loved retirement and our home here in Florida. He said on Saturday that life sure was good...at the time we were talking about our upcoming October 10th cruise on his favorite ship, the Disney Fantasy. He never thought with his family history he would live past 70 so he did real good. He went fast and they said he didn't have any pain. We are very thankful for that. He did not want any kind of service and we are honoring that. But the next time you are at a bar, please have a Manhattan and raise your glass to him. Just make sure it's the way he liked it, "up, very cold, stirred not shaken." He'll be up there smiling down at you!

He loved animals and the Sand Hill Cranes that adopted us here in Florida and live in our backyard were a constant source of pleasure for him. Yesterday they were looking for him.

Lily loved her Pop-Pop so much. I honestly think that was what kept Bob going. Lily was pretty much his life ... the last thing we did on Saturday together (I worked on Sunday) was spend time at the computer looking for the Disney Palace Pets she wanted for Christmas. She told me to make sure Pop-Pop knew what she wanted. I asked her about Santa ... was she going to tell him too. She said, no, just Pop-Pop. She knew he was a sure thing. On the way to the babysitter in the morning, she would always want to call Pop-Pop on the phone in the car and sing to him. He would listen to Let It Go over and over again with a huge smile on his face.

He left this world a very loved man. I'm having a very hard time thinking about a life without him!
Teena, what a beautiful testimony to his life! Thank you for sharing him with us. It sounds like a wonderful life he had. I'm guessing pop pop will find a way for Lily to find some Disney palace pets at Christmastime. :grouphug:

Thank you for sharing Teena. For years here, I have believed that you and Bob had a great retirement. I was thinking last night that one of the last things he did was buy lunch meat for you :-)
I can only imagine your loss. DH and I have been married for 46 years and I too can not imagine life without him. I pray that you find comfort in your wonderful memories. You will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

Death can never take a good man away, for in the hearts of the people he inspired, the legacy remains and continuous throughout generations.

Heartfelt thanks to everyone who is keeping Teena and her family in your thoughts and prayers. This is such a difficult time for them but I'm sure knowing how much you all care will be some comfort to them.

Even though we have only met once so far, i am sorry to hear for your loss Teena

Uber was $9 each way, bargain. About 15 minutes without traffic. Tubes are available at SAB for use by guests, but noodles are not. The trip
To Walmart was so well worth the time!

Wow that is a fantastic price!!!! We'll definiately be Uber-ing on our next trip.

Teena - words can't express how sorry I am. My dad, also named Bob, used to drink a Manhattan every night when he came home from work. I'll be sure to raise a glass for both Bobs when I get the chance.

Teena, I am so very sorry for your loss. You and your girls are in our thoughts and prayers.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. I'm glad that we were able to meet Bob last October. He will be missed. DH will be sure to have a Manhattan in his honor.

Teena, I am so sorry for your loss. Please know that your BC & YC family are thinking of you during this time.

I have some devastating news. Teena's husband Bob passed away unexpectedly this morning. Friends are with her and Jeanne is on her way to Florida.

omg...I just started to cry. What a sad sad piece of news. I never met him but I know he had to be wonderful if he was with our beloved Teena. Teena, mine and DH's heart and prayers go out to you, Jeanne and Lily. I am glad some of the DIS friends are there for you.

Just got the Sept. recreation calendar via email (10 days!). Thanks for posting and thinking of the September group Dee -I'm uploading just for practice :)
