HChampagne Girls!!
This is it! The grand tradition of pink boas, tiaras, girl-talk and of course, champagne, continues!
It goes like this, we get together, drink champagne, talk, drink champagne, wear pink, drink champagne, wear tiaras, and - did I mention - drink champagne. We will reserve one of the lounges onboard, one afternoon on a sea day, and sample several different types of sparkling wine. Time, day, place, and cost TBD. Once we know all of that, everyone will need to confirm their participation via email. Cost will be charged to your room and will be non-refundable (probably around $30, give or take a bit). In the past, the number of participants has been limited due to room capacity regulations. (I want to say it was around 40 last time, but my memory is a bit hazy.) If we get more than the allotted number of participants, we will start a wait list or possibly organize a second group (but don't count on that - DCL only has so much space to allocate to private activities, so sign up early). This is for women only, no men allowed! You must be over 21 at the time of the cruise to participate. (Please don't ask if you can bring your underage children or traveling companions along, and put me in the awkward position of saying, "no.") PM me here to sign up!
WBTA 2015 CELEBRATIONS!!Many of us will be celebrating events like birthdays and anniversaries during the cruise. If you would be interested in joining a card exchange and/or a celebration lunch on a sea day, please PM me here. (Date and place of the lunch to be determined. You will be able to change your participation if the date does not work for you.)

Only 3 weeks until we sail!
My apologies for not replying here recently. After spending the last 18 days away from home, getting my father settled into an assisted living facility and all that entails (pray you never have to do that) after a recent heart attack, I am sad to report that he passed away this morning.
The FE exchange closed on August 8 and CG Girls is also closed as we are over capacity and have a wait list. I will be emailing FE lists as soon as I finish them - working on them right now, as a distraction. I will also post the info about CG girls as soon as I have it. A friend of mine has offered to help with that, so that I can finish FE lists.
Please be patient. I will have this info as soon as possible.
Welcome aboard, Molly!! This trip is really going to be an adventure for you!
There are lots of friendly people here who can give you any advice or info you'd like as far as cruising or traveling to Europe goes. Poohluv4u (aka, Karen and her DH Ed) are from Oregon, too. I'm sure they'd be happy to tell you anything you need to know about flights and all from out there.
Pat, I am new here, but not new to the sadness of losing someone beloved, having lost all of our parents. We were sad to hear that you are grieving now. The best way that I know to process grief is on a cruise! In fact, our first cruise was in response to feeling kind of numb after a year where we lost two parents, gained a baby, and my husband nearly died. We did a repositioning one then, and just purposed to do tons of walking the decks, sleeping, praying, talking. I stepped off the ship with my heart restored. I hope that a repositioning cruise will give you the pause you need to regather your strength too. I'll be praying for you.

Thank you for your kind words. My mom passed away two years ago, and I still grieve for her. Dad was 90 and had Parkinson's and a bad heart, but still seemed invincible.
As "gizmo" mentioned, there is a meet up on the first day. I believe we said 3:00 in the Promenade Lounge. We're also doing linked dining, where we arrange with DCL to be on the same rotation and sit in the same area of the dining rooms. I can still add you to that. Once you have 10 posts, send me a pm and I'll tell you what I need for that. I don't like asking people to post personal info on the forum.
You can just post stuff like, "#5", "#6", etc. til you get to 10. We've all done it.
