at the time ?

3. The Hills have Eyes
2. Night mare on Elm Street (the whole dream thing was scary, cause you have no control, and to this day Freddie Kreuger creeps me out)
1. The Exorcist - I seen it not long ago, and it wasnt that good but when it came out it was different and freaked this boy out

DS says he has 2~
1. Signs
2. Insidious

so I will add one of mine
Cape Fear (Robert DeNiro version) to bring it to 3

I've spent a significant amount of time in rural parts of Texas, I'll go with the original "Texas Chainsaw massacre" I can outrun anybody wielding a chainsaw, but probably not all the kinfolk lol! That's my 1 anyway

Signs

Dead Girl (the human element was more scary to me than the horror)

What's the name of the one with Mila Jovovich and she's a reporter or scientist recording people's experiences with aliens? I can't remember the name for the life of me. But that one bugged me.

I have a thing with aliens.

Jaws, even now seeing Ben Gardner's head pop up, I scream, lol

Children of the Corn

Psycho

One, watched as an adult, that comes to mind is Legion...lady crawling on the ceiling was creepy. As a kid, the scariest was probably The Shining.

Halloween (the original of course)

The Haunting (also the original, scared me silly when I was a kid. It's ancient but it still works)

Blair Witch Project (I've always been spooked by the woods when it's dark)

3. House of 1000 Corpses (just when u thought it was over :scared:
2. Rosemary's Baby (watched original as a kid)

1. Exorcist

As a child I wasn't allowed to watch scary movies so now any that I see are terrifying and make me sleep with lights on.

1. When a stranger calls (original)

2. The exorcist (holy crap)

3. Anything with Freddy Krueger (I can't watch the one scene where he's in a back lane and his arms grow- it brings me to tears thinking about it..yes, even now and my heart is racing)

1. Carrie (the brilliant 1976 Brian De Palma original, not the throwaway 2013 remake). Has one of the most jarring, heart stopping endings ever filmed:

2. Psycho (there have been more gruesome murder scenes, but none as relentlessly horrifying as Janet Leigh in that infamous motel shower)

3. The Silence Of The Lambs (this one gets to you just by the sheer creepiness of the incredible performance by Anthony Hopkins)
