I'm here! Joined midway through the month last month! I'm going to shoot for 10 No Buy Days too! I'm actually hoping to get more because we're going to look at a house for sale this afternoon, so the name of the game is definitely save save save this month!

I have read these threads here and there. The 1st time I read it I thought I did not buy much. Then I started to keep track and realized how much I buy, and how hard it is to do a no buy string of days. Sooo since I have not bought anything today I will make an honest effort this month. I'll also shoot for 10 days and hope for more.:teeth:

I am in with 10 as well. Went off the rails in July. Time to get back in hand before the holidays.
1 - bath and body works $18

I am in paying off some credit cards. Even though we have vacation and back to school, 15 no buy days.
1 bought large pack of pork chops enough for several dinner meals and a lunch. $7.21

I need to get back to this. I have been spending way too much and want to pad my savings a bit before the end of the year. I want 15 no buy days.

I need to be in! 2 kids in HS = a way bigger food budget for them at school. Cafeteria lunches aren't cheap anymore!

Just wondering if anyone knows what became of member MickeyMomofThree? Haven't seen her post for ages; she used to be on this thread all the time. A search shows she was last here 4 years ago and at that time was feeling tired all the time ( pregnancy was ruled out). Although I just joined the site this year, I'm a long time lurker. I love the Budget Board and have gotten so much useful info/great tips here. Anyway, just wanted to know if anyone knows about this poster. Thanks.

I HAVE to join this month, despite all the spending I'll have to do. Moving in less than 2 weeks, with only 3 week's notice (couldn't pass up the opportunity to get into the house 2 months early, before school starts!) I've got a mental list going of everything I need to buy, but my goal is no more shopping until AFTER the move - I do not need anything extra to pack! So, I'm going to go with a goal of 15 days, and I won't count my normal Sunday grocery shopping against myself - I have to do that every week no matter what. I will count it against myself if I have to run to the store on other days to pick up extra stuff (bad habit.)

8/1: $14 on lunch (helping my grandmother move) $65 for dinner - was not cooking after all that unpacking!
8/2: $0 (groceries only - and $25 under budget!)
8/3: $0 - day isn't over yet but I know I have everything for dinner and no time for stops

2/15 no buy

It has been a while since I have participated and we really need to get back into the swing of things. I will shoot for 10 no buy days as well. I hope this will allow me to figure out a way to squeeze out a trip to Disney next year!

My goal for August will be 10 No Buy days. Grocery shopping will not be included since it is part of our regular budget.

August 1st- Dinner-$23, Baby Shower Gift-$25
August 2nd- Dinner- $70
August 3rd- No Buy #1

No Buy Days: 1/10

I'm in! I'm not sure if I'll have any no buy days this month, between last weekend away, our Disney trip, and school starting. :) I'm going to aim for a whole 6 days.

Aug. 3: clothes for DS, new shorts for me (I'm down to 5 pairs -- not enough for 7 days in Disney!)
Aug. 4: groceries, things for school

2- $140.53 for gas and groceries.
3- no buy!
4- $100 for hay for my horses.

Hopeful that tomorrow will be another no buy!
