So someone in one of my FB groups just reported that these reservations will be opening this week. No idea where he got his info, but was happy to see a report outside this thread and wanted to share

Be very careful about those middle of the night searches. I was doing that as well and suddenly saw 1900 Park Fare for a better time then our 7:35 pm and grabbed it. The next day, my mom called (the emails are going to her as this going at Christmas was her idea) and asked why I would cancel our 1900 Park Fare for Grand Floridian Cafe! I was ACCCK! Needless to say, I could not get our ressie for 6 on Dec 21 back again. But it worked out in the end, I snagged 1900 park fare for 4pm a few days later on the day we have wishes dessert. This means our tummies should have space for all those mini yummies! I plugged the new Boathouse into the old ressie spot. The only real loss the space I had saved for LTT, but with when it will re-open up in the air am a bit glad to stop checking everyday for that. Bottom line is, I am now very slow and careful with every ADR change especially in the middle of the night!

Been there! I cancelled a prepark CRT for a better time once....replacing my reservation for 4 with one for 2! Thankfully I noticed as soon as I got my confirmation and was able to switch it right back, but I am so often on autopilot when doing all of my daily checks, it's easy to really screw something up!

Question, can I have 2 dining ressies that overlap? I have ressies for 50s diner right now but am hoping for the Minnie Dine but I don't want to cancel the 50s until I get the Minnie one. But I also don't want to eliminate part of the search time frame by having a ressie already.

No, you can't make the actual reservation at an overlapping time. You can still search for it, though. And if you try to reserve Minnie's, the system will say you already have one in that timeframe and ask if you want to keep or cancel that one. You can cancel it at that point and then finish booking the new one.

Unless you have two MDE accounts. That's a different animal....

Ok that is what I thought. I just hope that if I do a search and find one, that after I cancel the 50s, that the Minnie Dining doesn't somehow become unavailable. But I'll take the chance. My sister has a different MDE account but we are linked so don't think I can use her account either.

As long as I can search for all times I'll be ok. I just didn't want it to avoid the times I have the ressies for when I did a search. Thanks for the info.

Looking like BOG breakfast is opening on the 6th...hmmm...wonder if Disney is thinking "Hey, we are probably gonna crash the system that day anyway, so what heck, let's throw Minnie's in there too!"

Supposedly the old reservation doesn't cancel until the new one is confirmed when you do it this way.

Unless you are using the app. The stinking app cancels and then you still have to go back and click on the table you are trying to reserve so there is a chance you could lose both. That's the biggest reason I hate to use the app to reserve an ADR.
