I only checked my days, but on the 12th, this link shows different EMH than the WDW site. Site says Epcot PM this says AK PM. Which is correct?

I found a few different sites and it looks like the EMH are for Epcot PM. My TA has reviewed my schedule and hasn't said anything about that day not having them, so I feel safe in planning the day as if it is. I will try to find out an official answer.

Also, in to see if any discounts come out for early January during and after marathon weekend.

I don't think discounts for this period will come out until the first week in October.

We're planning a trip for January 19th (my birthday :cake:

) to February 2nd and I've already booked a room-only reservation at POFQ. However, I was thinking of changing to Pop to save some $$$ since we're from Canada and the exchange rate right now is a killer, adding another 35% onto the cost of the trip. :worried:

I'm going to wait and see what kind of discounts are offered before I change anything.

Stay Play and Dine is Hotel+Tickets+Dining. When we went in January 2014, it equaled about 80-85% discount off the dining plan, as opposed to 100% off during "free dining." For us, the room only discount was a better deal. But, we stayed Deluxe and only had 2 people.

Thank you for the explanation. We've gone during the free dining promotion for the past 4 years but we've pretty much decided against a DP this time. We almost always end up with a bunch of snack and CS credits that we scramble to use up. And we eat way too many desserts, LOL.

I just booked our airfare for January 19-26. $ 62 each way from Philadelphia! We were planning on waiting until the discounts came out but the airfare was too good to pass up. We've had free dining in December the last three years but like MrsB1228 said, we eat too many desserts. I'll probably book a room only for now and wait and see what discounts come out. My DS is in WDW this week, but no bounceback offers are for January.

Woa how did you manage that?! I'm flying out of Philadelphia as well, and when I looked at airfare a few days ago it was less than the prices I'm looking at today. I hate how expensive airfare is :sad:

Hello All!!! We will be visiting in late January. This year we are bringing the grandparents. I have booked air but not Disney, yet. Still playing with a couple of different options. We love the Deluxe Dining plan but it is getting harder to justify the cost. I really wish Disney would discount this option! I know that is far fetched but a little Disney magic for this little miss piggy would be greatly appreciated!

I'm not the OP but also recently booked flights for the 3rd week of January for $122/pp roundtrip out of Philly (all taxes included). I first saw that rate on a Thursday and was thinking "dang, I should book this." By Saturday those rates were up to $236 (same exact flights) so I thought I missed my chance. Checked again that next Tuesday and the $122/pp roundtrip was back (same flights again) so I jumped on them. Keep checking on them & good luck!

Ok good so I'm not crazy thinking the prices change by day lol I'll have to check them again on weekdays to get that good price! Thank you! I've heard Tuesdays were best for purchasing airfare

I was playing around with all different flights and days. We didn't like the 6:40AM flight and the noon flight was too late, so I checked into leaving 5:20PM since that was also $ 62. I waited until the next day and that's when the return flight went down to $ 62. So we'll have an extra night's hotel, but we won't be exhausted like we usually are taking an early morning flight. When I checked yesterday (Saturday), the return flight went back up to $ 196.

So excited, I just booked our airfare from PVD to MCO for Jan 22 to Feb 2. So surprised my DH agreed to a long vacation but after 2 years of grad school, it will be nice to go and have fun Disney style! Will probably book the hotel tomorrow and wait for the discounts to be released.

We have PVD to MCO, Jan 23 to Jan 29.

We have never been to Disney in January but are thinking about it for 2016. For those of you veteran Jan visitors what is the weather normally like? We usually do Sept(HOT!) and last year did Nov and it was 84 when we arrived and 52 (for the high) midweek??? I know it totally varies but what have your experiences been?
