Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

Poly CL lounge evening offerings, week of Sunday, June 28, 2015 through Saturday, July 4, 2015.

Sunday: turkey corn dogs, conch fritters, potato cheese pierogies with BBQ sauce
image.jpg

Monday: turkey corn dogs, mushroom risotto bites, 5-spice chicken wings
image.jpg

Tuesday: sushi night
image.jpg

Wednesday: turkey corn dogs, beef & blue wrapped in bacon, same pierogies as Sunday
image.jpg

Thursday: chicken quesadillas and vegetable spring rolls
image.jpg
image.jpg

Friday: corn dogs, meatballs, and there was initially a 3rd pan that they immediately removed and never put back. We tasted it and to be honest it was horrible tasting (to us). They were triangles with potato and peas inside but something tasted wrong because I've had these before and never thought they were that bad. Meatballs were outstanding. No little signs that night, but the sauce tasted like some sort of light BBQ.

Saturday -July 4. Same food as in previous years. Hot dogs, baked beans, chicken wings, and outstanding salad. They put out a gorgeous fruit basket that was quickly devoured, but I tried to snap a few pics so you could get an idea:

A few notes about evening offerings:

The corn dogs used to be on the kiddie side each night, but we noticed last week that they really didn't have a kiddie side anymore. Some nights they put out PB&J on the kiddie side all alone.

They had the usual cheese, crackers, veggies, dips, lots of fruit (pineapple, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, sometimes blueberries), caramel dip. No salads or other sides.

AWESOME!!! I wonder if there's a way I can link this post to page 1!!

Since there is such a wealth of knowledge here I'm asking for suggestions. DH and I have been around the bush about our anniversary dinner so much that the bush is gone and a crater is in its place! We always eat at Artist Point but in my quest to try something new we agreed to pick the restaurant with best desserts!

We've decide most signature restaurants would be great. So...which restaurant has the best desserts in your opinion (and please list it!). DH thinks Artist Point is the best with the cobbler and those otherworldly nutella filled beignets if they are still on the menu.

I think the only one we will NOT consider is Monsieur Paul's based on reviews. Thanks for any help and input!

18 days to make a decision! :hourglass

Narcoosee's in my personal favorite. :) Everything they serve there, rather it's dinner or dessert, is amazing! Plus you can't beat the view! :D

:rolleyes1 I cancelled Sugarloaf so we are all Stone Harbor Club 8/13-20. I had no remorse switching to GF for two nights :cloud9: BUT I didn't want to pack up and move:duck:Of course I realized this after I counted out my packing cubes

I totally know the feeling. Packing up and moving isn't fun. We are only splitting because of Nic's birthday. He originally wanted the GF from day one when we started talking about this trip. Plus 8 nights BC sounded like too long for one spot. I love MK and want to be over there badly! :D

OK we are back from our glorious Poly CL stay! I posted a little bit here and there during our trip, but now I'll give a more comprehensive review along with some pictures.

Thanks for your review, sounds like you had a great time! Love the pics, thanks for sharing while on your trip and with the ones in your review :goodvibes.

Hi pas :wave2:.....you crack me up with the resort changes .....but I do get it because it is hard deciding on just one resort :rolleyes1.

Thanks so much for these pictures!! Everything looks so yummy (though wondering if I can get them to hold the sauce off the pierogies for my middle son -he's a bit picky). Can't believe we'll be in the World two weeks from tomorrow, and at the Poly in 19 days!! :yay:

More thoughts regarding our recent Poly CL stay....

I think they are behind-the-times when compared to our recent BC CL stay over Easter. For one thing, check-in. At Poly, we were taken to the desk like normal, sat there and listened to the normal things, then were given our papers with explanation. When the CM said "your room isn't ready," I replied that I knew that because I got the text as soon as we used our MB's at the ME at the airport. The CM looked very shocked and said "well at least we know that's working..." I think it's all connected to this texting service that BC had and Poly did not. At BC, I was connected the entire time to CM's giving assistance. One morning my daughter left her MB in the lounge and we didn't realize it until we got to MK. No problem, I texted the BC number and they found the MB and then added 3 free open FP's to our account for the day! I just had to pick up a new temporary MB at guest services (which was no big deal...). The texting CM's really, really, really went out of their way to take care of us at BC. This service was sorely missed at Poly last week.

I'm so anxious to hear feedback from all of you guys when you return from your CL stays to see which resorts are currently offering the service.

Another thing is the BC CL has added a bunch of different foods, not necessarily different hot appetizers, but they usually always had 2 other side dishes of things (salad-type of mix and also those shooter cups of something else) to go with the 2 hot appetizers and then all the normal cheese/crackers/veggies/fruits. Also, BC always had an olive/artichoke mix too. Also, BC added the meat platter to the breakfast offerings, plus they still have the hard-boiled eggs too. So at BC, I felt like I had a good protein breakfast each morning, while at the Poly I had a large carb breakfast lol.

Also, I almost forgot! The alcohol service was normal self-serve at Poly, and I do have to say we much prefer it this way! I tried a small portion of each wine to see what I liked, tried a couple kinds of beers too throughout the trip, of course enjoyed the special Poly drink mixture too. It was nice to feel free about doing this. My DH was in his glory as he could grab beer whenever he wanted between 5-7, and also keep some in our room fridge. The CM's were outstanding as they were constantly asked all day long for beer from all guests, and they'd automatically grab 2 for each guest. They would always ask if everyone wanted the cap on or off. It was quick, easy, and very comfortable.

I'm a big lover of BBQ sauce, but this particular sauce used with the pierogies was not very good to me. The label did say Korean BBQ sauce, so maybe that was the difference. The Chefs seemed to be very accommodating, so it can't hurt to ask -- you guys might like them better without the sauce anyway!

Have a great trip! We already miss it!

Can anyone here confirm whether or not the BWI has that CL texting service that I've been reading about at the BC and a couple of other resorts? Trying to decide on an Epcot resort and maybe this can help us break a tie.

They did 2 months ago when my cousins were there.

At the risk of sounding like a lush....CL veterans: can I get an alcohol boost before our 3 MK days or will alcohol only be available during the evening app time?

I don't usually like to comment unless I've personally experienced it -- I think you're staying at AKL, right? We haven't stayed there, but at all of the CL's we've stayed at (CR, BC, Poly, WL), we have been able to get beer at any hour simply by asking a CM for it. I should rephrase and say "my DH has been able...." Now if you mean getting a different type of alcohol, I'm not sure on that -- hopefully someone else can chime in. A lot of times, my DH will grab extra beer during the 5-7 time frame to keep in our room fridge for whenever he wants it.

We always ask for wine/beer to take to the pool in the afternoon (we have to pour it into a "to go" cup). DH has asked for a beer in the morning before too:)

I loved the texting service at GF and BC.. I will miss it at Poly this weekend

Yeah, that's why I'm asking about BWI. There doesn't seem to be a definitive list of which CLs have that service and which ones don't. Some people said that the Poly has it, but that information appears to be incorrect.

I think WDW is the king at being consistently inconsistent. I had family members at Poly CL not long ago and they were able to use the texting service. Now, @TJA comes back and they don't have it and act like it was never there. They must have been just testing it at Poly, but at least they could acknowledge that fact. So that's why I didn't answer that YES, BWI CL offers it because it may have only been a test 2 months ago when my cousins were there. I'm going to check the BWI FAQ Thread to see if anyone is there now or just got back and what the deal was.
