Question... How many luggage racks are there in a room. You the thing that folds out to sit your suitcase on?

If we paid for a waterview room, do we have to put that in our room requests during online check in at 60 days? Or is it a given and I can request two other things like a certain floor and village? How do you request a certain building number? Do you have to call for that?

It's a given. You'll have to call to request a certain building.

Can anyone tell me what CBR does on Halloween? We check in on Halloween and wondering what activities they have

Has anyone been to the marshmallow roast recently? Is it bring your own? Are there s'mores supplies available for purchase? Is it every night?

I'm so so so jealous of you guys who are in double digit days. I'm ready for a vacation now but only just decided to go a year and a half from now.
When we booked our vacation, we had 399 days! Plus we rebooked for 3 days later so we could leave at a later date and attend a MNSSHP. Now we are down to 63 days - and it honestly went by pretty fast!

When I check-in at the resort, if my room is not ready, do I request to leave my carry-ons with bell services? Will they automatically delivery the carry-ons with my luggage from magical express or will I still need to call bell services when we return to our room?

Also, will bell services come to my room when we are ready to check out and take our luggage and stroller back to the custom house for us?

Last question, are prices crazy for food items (i.e. milk) at the resort? Do you suggest using something like garden grocer (to get refrigerated items) or I saw amazon pantry can deliver food items then I could just get some refrigerated items at the resort?

Yup.

No, you will have to call down for them to be brought up. Only your luggage delivered via Magical Express will be delivered to your room with you not physically in it.

Also, will bell services come to my room when we are ready to check out and take our luggage and stroller back to the custom house for us??

Yup. And they always give us a ride too.

We found the food prices to be a little higher, but not crazy. Alcohol on the other hand. :scared1: We usually place a Garden Grocer order for snacks, beer and wine.

We've never used Garden Grocer. How do they handle it with alcohol? Do you have to be present when it's delivered in order to show I.D.?

Hello CBR peeps! :D

Just rescheduled our fall trip to February. And in the process changed to our FIRST MODERATE STAY EVER! Always stay on site, but have always stayed Value (usually Pop) ... until now. My 17 yo nephew is going to be rooming with us, so we wanted a bit more space and privacy options. Crossing my fingers for either a room discount or free dining for February, but have budgeted at rack rate for worst case scenario. Still gonna be worth it I think. The resort looks beautiful. And we are SOOO looking forward to queen beds instead of doubles. Hard to feel like a vacation in worse beds than at home. LOL

So I've read through a good portion of this thread and have a couple questions (for now, LOL, I'm sure there'll be more!).

1) We usually do online check in but we're traveling with my twin-in-law and his family and want to be near each other. We'll be arriving at 1pm, they won't get in until 11pm. If we skip the desk, there's no way to verify our rooms are close until they arrive, correct? Not a big deal since staying at a new resort we might want to hit the front desk anyway and hear the spiel this time.

2) We can't swing preferred so I imagine the food court will be extremely out of the way. We are used to relying heavily on the refillable mugs at the Values. Do people find they don't bother with the mugs much at CBR? If you don't use them, do you stock drinks in your room? And if you do, where do you get them (resort shop, shipping in, grocery store?)

3) We are going to be leaving CBR for Universal at the end of our time there and have a private car service to carry us. Will he have any trouble getting into the resort to pick us up? Will we need to notify anyone of this plan ahead of time?

Thanks!! And looking forward to our first stay!

1. Even if you do online check in and are eligible for skipping the front desk, you can always stop by the front desk to see if you are near each other.

2. We use our mugs heavily during every trip. We have stayed in every non-preferred section, except for the Pirate Themed Rooms in Trinidad South, and feel OPR is very conveniently located. My guess is 75% of the non-preferred locations are a 3-6
minute stroll to OPR and the main pool.

3. No trouble at all. No, you won't need to notify anyone ahead of time.

You've made an excellent choice for your first Moderate. CBR is our favorite Moderate by far!

My family and I will be staying at CBR for just one night in August. We arrive quite late and plan to enjoy the pool the next day before heading to the Contemporary. Would it be wise to request a certain building to make entry and exit with my luggage easier? Thanks in advance.

Hi, answering only the refillable mug question... We use ours every single am and every single evening. I would DIE (not even slight exaggeration!) without my am coffee, and we get something every afternoon/evening. The walk is part of our resort enjoyment. You will love CBR!
