New snack credits

Thanks for the report and picture! I'm a little disappointed that the Nutella and fruit waffle isn't a snack credit, but very happy that it is still there!

Thank you for the picture. Wow, looks like funnel cake isn't a snack credit there. I thought it was.

I wonder if the people who are getting these items are asking if they are snacks. Maybe the CM's are able to allow them, but there is no signage.

I also thought funnel cake was a snack and could have sworn that I got one as a snack. Did they change this?

Yes, as I mentioned, we have never had any trouble getting a plain funnel cake with a SC at Sleepy Hollow. There have been times that the ice cream sandwich was missing the SC signage as well and it too wasn't a problem. Sleepy Hollow doesn't advertise you can use a QS credit there either but you can. They are very mysterious. Lol. Would love for the nutella waffle to be a SC but it seems to be pushing the boundaries, so I have my doubts.

I would expect that the menu will soon be updated to include waffles and funnel cakes as snack credits. Can't say for sure about the "specialty" waffle sandwiches, though.

I know that at AK the buffalo chicken waffle slider (Trilo-bites) and the Lobser Mac & Cheese ($5.99 - Beastly food stand) are both snack credits, so it's not exclusively dessert-y items that are being added as snack credits. I think it's just taking a while for them to update all the menu signage with the new snack logos. It can't hurt to ask if you see an item that you expect to be a snack credit (like a funnel cake with toppings). Considering that $8 funnel cake at DHS is now included, I'd expect pretty much any funnel cake in any park to be included (either now or eventually).

As of late September, the Nutella, the chicken, and the ham/prosciutto/swiss sandwiches were NOT snack credits on the menu board. We didn't ask if we could get them with snack credits, though (we just assumed you couldn't).

Also relevant to this thread: most places were happily converting 1 QS credit into 3 snack credits. This included places like Goofy's Candy Co, Karamelle Kuche at Epcot. It does have to be in one transaction (it's not really a conversion so much as you can spend one QS meal and receive three snack items). We also had fairly widespread success in modifying a QS meal to be one "entree" along with any two snack-type items on the menu (desserts, bottled drinks, slushes, sides, etc.). So you're not locked into the original traditional QS meals of one entree, one dessert, one drink. Particularly useful at resort QS restaurants if you have the refillable mug.
