If you’re looking for something orange at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, you may want to check out the Maharajah Jungle Trek for one of its most popular animals, the tiger:

Animal Kingdom is home to several Asian Tigers, as well as a rare Sumatran Tiger. Make sure to visit the tigers on your next trip!

As a team, we’ve reached Disney California Adventure Blue – only 4 days into the month! How soon can we reach Disney’s Animal Kingdom Orange? Keep posting those minutes and let’s see what we can do as a team!

Since I wasn’t on the computer yesterday, we’ve got two birthdays to celebrate today.

Yesterday, July 4th, was the USA's birthday, but other countries celebrated birthdays, too! On July 4th, 1987, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad opened at Tokyo Disneyland.

The Tokyo Disneyland Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is somewhat similar to the Florida version, but also has elements reminiscent of the California version of the ride. This wildest wide in the wilderness is located in Westernland, near the Rivers of America (home of the Mark Twain Riverboat).

Happy Birthday, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad! Or, as they say in Japanese, 誕生日おめでとう (tanjoubi omedetou)!

Today’s birthday is bittersweet, as we wish a Happy Birthday to a popular attraction that no longer exists.

On July 5th, 1988, an attraction began operation in the newly opened Norway Pavilion at Epcot…

For over 25 years, Maelstrom took guests on a journey through the history and culture of Norway.

The ride closed in October 2014 to make room for a new ride, named Frozen Ever After, but Maelstrom will not soon be forgotten by those who had the opportunity to experience its adventurous boat ride.

Happy Birthday, Maelstrom!

25 minutes yesterday (walking in a crowd of people to and from the fireworks, so a little slower-paced than usual, but carrying a chair and a bunch of other stuff, so I guess it still counts)

and 20 minutes so far today - DH and I got outside for a walk before it got too hot.

new total = 105/620

After a great weekend of reporting, we've got three new members of Disney California Adventure Blue:
PollyannaMom
sophy1996
swissfamilyrobinson

Keep up the great work, everyone! Discovering the color changes is one of my favorite parts of hostessing!

Today we wish a happy birthday to a resident of Disney’s Animal Kingdom…

On July 6, 2004, Kianga, a female African elephant, was born at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, weighing 230 pounds. She was the second African elephant calf born at Animal Kingdom, and the first female. She made her debut on the savanna one month later. Kianga’s mother, Vasha, has since given birth to another calf, Jabali (born 2011).

Happy 11th birthday, Kianga!

Aaand I just completed the other half of the 100 repetitions work out for another 40 minutes. I'm not sure why this one was 5 minutes less, maybe the warm up video I used was shorter because everything else was the same length.

Bada$$! Those workouts sound tough!
I'd like to thank everyone that sent some heat my way- we are finally in the 80's today!!
And a shout out to the women's soccer team!!! Abby Wambach is our hometown girl! She comes from a great family, her sister is my daughters science teacher and what a great teacher she is!

well, border patrol let me back in so I'm back in the good ole U. S. of A. from my trip to St. Andrews. We basically parked the car at the tent and either walked/biked or ran everywhere. (and although tempted, I did not time every walk I took between the tent and the campground bathroom)

If you get a chance - St. Andrews, New Brunswick is a lovely place to visit.

I'm bringing back a whooping 547 fitness minutes.

Just completed the second fitness test of the program, the first one is the very first thing you do and the last one is the very last thing you do. There are three total, for some reason the second one is at the end of week three.

My numbers have changed quite a bit since the first test. For example I actually ran the mile(well, it was more of a slow jog in place but still..) and shaved off two minutes of the previous time and doubled the amount of sit ups, squats, and push ups I can do now until my form starts to go.
