***The Official February 2016 Thread!***

Joining in..Our first trip. Our dates are 2/26-3/9 or something close enough. We're staying off site and have already booked. Going to buy our park tickets tomorrow. So excited! Been planning for this for 2 years!

I love your Golden Spoon numbers! I hadn't seen that before...so of course I had to go find it...and do it, twice!

I've eaten at 66 out of 260 restaurants at Walt Disney World (25%)
I've eaten at 42 out of 94 quick service/counter service restaurants at Walt Disney World (45%)
I've eaten at 15 out of 75 table-service restaurants at Walt Disney World (20%)
I've eaten at 2 out of 19 signature restaurants at Walt Disney World (11%)
I've eaten at 2 out of 3 dinner show restaurants at Walt Disney World (67%)

Here's the thread if anyone else wants to add one...http://www.disboards.com/threads/are-you-a-disney-foodie-go-for-the-golden-spoon.3232354/

By the way, we loved Hoop De Doo! We did the Luau way back right when a freak ice storm was hitting, and it was freezing! Considering the Luau on a future trip...probably not this next one though...love the atmosphere of Fort Wilderness though!

That was fun! I thought I had eaten at so many places, but looks like I have my work cut out for me. Cool link, thanks!

Joining in - just booked AKL savanna view for Feb. 18-25, 2015, with regular DDP. So excited!!!

Running the numbers today...sigh, looks like it will be Pop this time (my youngest will be thrilled since he doesn't remember it very well)...which means we will have to walk across the bridge to get our naan bread fix at AOA.

I expected prices to go up, but it will be a $600 difference between the two resorts...considering we are doing universal too that week...unless we take off one of our WDW days...which I really don't want to do...decisions, decisions...:confused3

I am thinking we will do a trip Feb 2016, so hi everyone!!! I see that typically deals for feb aren't released until October, so I may hold out until then. I am trying to convince myself to save money by staying at POP or Port Orleans, before we stayed at the Cabins and I am dying to stay at Poly. May do a split stay with just 2 nights at Poly to get my fix!

2/27 - 3/5 here! Booked a package for our first trip yesterday to stay at Pop!! Super excited, it seems real now that we finally have a reservation!! =)

I belong in here now!! I booked our trip and created my ticker today! This will be our 10th or 11th trip to Disney/Orlando. The last two trips weren't Disney trips. One we stayed offsite ( and loved it) and another we stayed at Universal (and loved it). So by the time we go back it will have been just over two years since our last onsite trip which was just before Christmas 2013 at Wilderness Lodge.

This trip will be our first one without dd18, as she will be away at university. I would have liked to make it work to bring her but would have had to wait until May and even then she wasn't sure she'd be available. So we have decided to do an offsite budget trip next summer and take her before she goes back to school. I really struggled with this decision because it's always been the four of us and dd loves Disney but I can't stop taking her brother (11) on vacations because she can't come and I really need a break from these Canadian winters. She'll still be able to come to the cottage with us etc too. I'm excited for this trip, but it does feel weird to be planning it without her.

We keep telling our older two that we will go back to deluxe resorts when they are away at college...they are not too happy about that! But they had trips without the others growing up...they will have their turn too! :jumping1:

hicksnichols,

We celebrated our first granddaughter's 2nd birthday at WDW in 1987. And that ten days will always be one of my most cherished memories. With the exception of the larger characters who got a bit too close at breakfast one morning, she loved it. And there is nothing quite so wonderful as watching one that little take in 'The World' for the first time.

Of course, she remembered very little about it when she returned at age four. And doesn't remember a thing about it now. But, we'll always remember - everything ... :)

I'm hoping to book a trip with my Sis and Niece for 2/5-2/12/2016. We love Disney but have never gone together. Fingers crossed!

We plan to go in February too! Hoping for the Poly, but haven't decided for sure yet. It will likely depend in if there are any discounts.

Last week, I booked our stay off site (which weirdly I'm very excited about it!) for 2/17- 2/29. It will be a combo trip. Glass Slipper challenge for me and a friend then my family will join (and possibly in laws?) after race weekend. This will be our first time doing US (we are HP freaks so very excited about that!). I'm excited to ride 7DMT for the first time and return to some of our favorite restaurants! Nothing like having a Disney trip to plan!! :yay:

Count me in! I'm on pins and needles hoping to get into the Glass Slipper Challenge today at noon. We have February booked for AKV Kidani for four days, then Jambo Club Level for another five days (we've never done CL, and I'm excited). I want to switch to Boardwalk though for the first part if I can register today...much easier for the race starts!

I did!!! The early registration for GSC was showing On Hold within a few minutes, so I was happy I was sitting there refreshing the links like crazy from 11:55 onwards, lol. Got my Boardwalk booking taken care of as well so that's a huge relief :)!

Keep us posted on your registration on the 14th!

We booked SSR and can't wait to do the Monorail Crawl together for the first time! Whoop!

We moved our days back one day today. It was about $200 cheaper to shuffle our dates around a little bit for flights. I purchased our flights down today for January 29th. I have to wait a few weeks to buy the flights back. We are currently booked in a Standard room at Port Orleans Riverside for the 7 nights. Where we end up will depend on the discounts. I don't imagine we will see those until October if history repeats itself.

I must say... being able to log in to MDE and change my own reservation is about a million times better than all those years that I had to phone in every time I made a change! I change my mind A LOT! :rolleyes1

We have finally decided on our Disney dates! We'll be going February 22-27. We are waiting on special offers to be announced before booking, and also hoping for special offers to book our flight (we've flown down once, and driven down once--so glad to be flying again!). Can't wait!!!

We'll be at Disney February 27th to March 5th, staying at CBR! Will be celebrating my '15th' birthday that Monday, the 29th :upsidedow And will also be doing 1 day at Universal for all the HP doings!
