December 2015 Discount Watch

We're planning our first WDW trip December 15-19 for our honeymoon - after reading this i'll hold off booking a little longer in the hope of a discount! Travelling from Australia and our dollar is pretty terrible at the moment so every little bit will help.

Those are free dining dates! And yay for honeymoon!!! And first trip!!! Where are you staying?
 


We're not sure yet - there are so many choices, so doing lots of research! How do you book free dining - is it just a matter of checking the Disney booking site regularly and waiting until it's advertised?

Yes, it's already on the site. The dates in December are the 15th through the 21st although it can go past the 21st. If you need any help with your planning, send me a private message. It wouldn't let me send you one.
 
I'll be waiting here with all of you! I need a code that goes from end of November into December.
 


Well it looks like the current room discounts come down in 2 days. Does anyone know how long it might be until new ones that contain Dec may or may not be put up?

Historically mid July. Things have been happening earlier each year, so we'll see if they come out next week after these come down. :-)

Thank you so much for the tip schwaa! I moved our start date back a day to the 15th and was able to book the Wilderness Lodge with free dining :yay: We chose deluxe dining and were just in time for the 180 day window so we've booked:
  • Be our guest
  • Le Cellier
  • Boma
  • Grand Floridian Cafe
  • California Grill
  • Restaurant Marrakesh
  • Tutti Italia
  • Teppan Edo
Phew! Can't wait!

We already have our package booked, but would love a discount code. We originally wanted to go in November during Free Dining, but couldn't get any of the ADR's we wanted or even the resort we wanted so we decided to push it back to December when there isn't free dining.

totally awesome!!!! Good choices for restaurants. I've eaten at all except California Grill and Teppen Edo. They are all great. Good choice on Deluxe Dining. We only do deluxe. Love breakfast buffet and dinner with dessert! Lunch is a bonus!

We're going Dec 10 - 15 and i was surprised how easy it was to book ADRs - I hope it means the crowds will be low before free dining starts!

Same dates for us. Just waiting on the F! packages and Mama Melrose's to open up.
 
When is Pop Warner this year? I know they don't include these dates in a discount during the time.
 
I'm joining the waiting too.
If there is no discount for the time I'm going in December, I won't be adding the extra night on to my 2 night stay at a Disney resort. I may just stay at the Hilton or something instead for the one night since I'll have my car.
 
Does anyone know whether room only discounts for a deluxe level resort are blacked out for Pop Warner week? We usually avoid this week, but this year we are tagging along with other family members who are making the plans.
 
I think I answered my own question. I found the late fall discount room only discounts released for 2014. Pop Warner week was not blacked out, as it was for the free dining offer. Pop Warner week is Dec 6-13 this year.
