I'm sure many of you have heard or read about a survey that went out from Disney about tiered pricing at WDW. So my question is how much more money would you pay each day to guarantee you did not have to wait more than 30 minutes in a line at any of the parks?

Nothing! If the standby line is longer than a 30 minute wait, I go someplace else.

FWIW, I don't think that Disney would ever guarantee wait times, even for a price. There are too many opportunities for failure and then what? A refund of what you paid? Or a handful of FP+ to make up for it?

The change to the ticketing matrix that is proposed in that survey is just another example of the growing number of negative changes that Disney has been implementing. It makes me happy that my kids have outgrown annual Disney visits. My husband and I don't need to enter a park to enjoy a DVC stay.

I just wanted to add a perspective on the tiered ticket matrix that is proposed in the survey as viewed by Theme Park Tourist. It includes a screenshot of the possible ticket scheme:
ETA: I had no idea that was a "banned" website. Sorry. Do a google search for the article.

Here's a screenshot of the proposed ticket scheme from Turkey Leg Jeff's Twitter account:

They just can't get enough. Capitalism is fine, but they are so beyond that. Unlimited corporate greed is what this is. I would not care to go and stay at either the Poly or the Yacht/Beach Club and never go into a park for my next trip. :cloud9: But there is no way my family would consider that.

Disney would love that. Selling nights at deluxe resorts gives them the biggest bang for your buck.

I'm lost. I've been busy at work the last few days.
How does making us pay more for a ticket = 30 minute waits?
What you posted just looks like a seasonal upcharge kind of deal...or am I mistaken?

I picked $0.

I disagree with the "this is a greedy ploy" part though. I just think it's a stupid, needlessly complicated idea.
I agree. I don't think it will work because if my vacation falls on "gold days," it starts making not buying extra days to my park hopper or moving over to universal look more attractive. Or just pricing people out.

I know it would. But I am at the point now that I just don't need to do the parks every trip now. Until there are more major additions to them anyways.

You really don't think its greed that is pushing this agenda? I don't know anything else it could be?

No. It's just that I don't care that it's greed. Disney is a business, not a charity or a public service. They have a right to charge whatever they want and I have a right to either pay it or not. That's how capitalism works.

If the price gets beyond what I feel it's worth, then I just won't go. It's not that big of a deal.
