Where In The World #18. We're an Adult. We're Legal, well for most everything.

Goopy is out of the safe room. Tornado was to her SW. Still lots of thunder and lightning around her though.

Wow! Scary stuff. Are you on the cell phone with Karolyn? We had a beautiful day up here. Nice steady rain yesterday. I don't think we have ever heard Jeff or me complain about our weather. So sorry for Texas! Hope Karolyn and all her family and friends are okay!

Texting back and forth for the past couple of hours. With Karolyn in the dark and David not having access to his radar, been filling them in on what is happening.

The bad weather looks like it has just pasted Karolyn and David to their southeast and moving towards the coastline.

There is another small deep red cell to the west of Austin which is to the west of Karolyn and moving east.

My guess would be a break of 5 to 6 hours for the next cell to get to Karolyn. I am going to get a few hours sleep or try to should I say.

Houston is getting pummeled. Most of their roads will be under water by day break.

:faint: Not exactly how I planned on spending the evening! :faint: All is good; we were SO lucky. The tornado we'd gone into the safe room for went to our south; one of DD's employees got hit but not bad...trees and power lines down but no damage to residence. Our rain total was only about 3"...FAR below everyone else's! :sad2: Terrible tragedy's in Austin and Houston area; deaths and missing from the flash floods. Some parts of our county had 4-5-6" so roads are flooded and the runoff from the north WILL overflow the Brazos. They're evacuating homes close to the river as we speak. BFF in Gonzales is experiencing a LOT of flooding. Gonzales is close to the Guadeloupe River which is currently at flood level without the rains of today. She lives in town but rain was so hard she was "flooded in" with water lapping at her back door just from the rain and runoff from city streets.

HUGE HUGS :hug::hug: to Ed, who was a dear, dear friend tonight. Kept us posted with updates while we were without power. My phone text box is FULL! :rotfl2: I loved the reports from the WITW News Desk from West Palm Beach, Florida! :lmao: Priceless! We were in serious trouble when DH lost the radar connection on his phone; back to the "old-fashioned weather watching" of sitting by the window and watching the clouds when lightening lit up the skies! :rotfl: He spotted the clouds with the tornado and we sent text to DD's so they could get to safe rooms. The Princess was a "basket case"...but... she had a dream last night that a tornado struck our house so I was sorta freaking out myself for a while there. :lmao: They'll probably be a late start for school tomorrow; DH and his crew have to check all the roads/bridges before they can give the okay for the school buses to run...gonna be a L-O-N-G day for him...his alarm is set for 4:30 AM. As for me...I'm not sitting my alarm AT ALL so I may not be back until after the noon hour! :rotfl2: That was exhausting...even the "romantic candlelight dinner" wasn't fun! :lmao: THANKS AGAIN TO ED...a true, caring friend tonight and we needed that! :tink:

This is from a food service in Epcot.

This is a kiosk. In Epcot that serves food.

It's in the WS but not from the UK or Norway.

The Refreshment Port is a great place. That cronut was delicious! But this is not from there.

This is from a country. I am looking for the name of a country but - this is not one of the permanent 11 countries…..

Yes ::yes:: This was a kiosk that was there for the Food and Wine Festival.

Clueless...don't remember half the countries that were there. In fact, right now all I can think of is Australia! :rotfl::tink:

I just was reading that Texas is in state of emergency and the Governor declared states of disaster in 24 counties and tornado watch issued. Keep safe.

Yep...will probably be more tomorrow since Houston got hit so hard tonight. Your beach pictures are absolutely beautiful! :beach: What a pretty site to see when I was able to get back on WITW! :thumbsup2 :tink:

Park, resort or other?

Attraction, shop or food service?

This is a food/beverage service in a resort. :tink:

Is it a country in Europe?

Can't quote, of course, but this is not from Australia and it's not from a European country. That should help narrow it down!

I'm going Sept. 20-25. I don't suppose you are coming then!?! I got Dapper Day rates! $209 for the Disneyland Hotel!! :yay: I've never stayed there before!!

I'm trying to convince Joe that a trip to DLR would be a great birthday gift! He's not sold yet though. Part of the problem is my birthday is January, so we'd be taking two trips right after each other (going to his Grandma's in Dec)

That sounds so scary! I can't believe the weather y'all have been having. A couple of years ago we had a bad tornado in the area, and my mom lost power so I was pulling up the radar on my phone and texting her updates from ECU. She and the pups were sequestered in the basement.

Glad everyone was safe! Yay for WITW friends

School was cancelled for today...way to many transportation issues. DH says he'll be working late tonight...some roads/bridges are totally gone and lots of trees down. Still without TV but watching Houston news via internet. Still so much better off than the Hill Country and Houston area. Breaks my heart seeing news from those regions :sad2:. I can usually handle those situations well...when I know what's going on! We're all so used to being able to "see" what's happening via phone/internet/cable, etc. but when it's ALL out....:scared1:. I sure wish we had a basement but the safe room has to do...it's built well but sure don't want to spend to much time in there without "word from the outside world"! :rotfl: Ed was a lifesaver..... Annie...keep talking to Joe! :rotfl: Nothing wrong with 2 "vacations" close together! :yay: Sometime you just "gotta do what you gotta do"! :rotfl2:

I haven't had time to research the countries at F/W yet...to many other things to do :faint:....is it an "island country"? :tink:
