I knew I recalled it happening in the past... but I couldn't remember if it was a runD event or not.

just received an email informing on cancelation and refund of my registration... getting ready for noon !!!!
 
Finally got through to a real person who said she would cancel our registrations and we need to re-register at noon EST. I feel better hearing directly from Disney that I won't be charged twice.

Exactly how I feel.
I feel bad for the people who registered yesterday and are now having their registrations cancelled ... but I'm glad I decided not to do it.

I Didn't receive the cancelation e-mail, and currently waiting for the online chat at Active.com

Couldn’t reach anyone at rD yet. I'll keep calling, though!

if you have the direct link it should actually go live a little bit early so I would be ready with that link around 1145 and then you should be good to go... The active account isn't necessary but if you have one it may speed you up as it should prefill some of the info for you

My active account has actually never prefilled any info for me with the rundisney races. So, I just type it in so I don't risk stalling trying to figure that out.

interesting...mine did when I was debating weather or not to register yesterday so im curious what will happen today

I would definitely believe that if that's what they told you. Between having a confirmation, a credit card charge and no cancellation email, I'm going to assume it's fine. I wonder if they canceled the "hard to get" registration events like Dopey, but not the lesser ones like the marathon which I have. What a mess!
 
So - the plot thickens. My neighbor received a phone call (no email) about his Dopey registration being canceled and him being refunded (again, no biggie) and that the link was for deferrals.

I've received NOTHING about the 5K registrations I made yesterday being canceled. No email, no phone call, nothing. And they're all still showing up as active.

Whatever. I feel bad for the one person at rD having to go through and do all this because rD has the dumbest registration process known to man. But if I have to guess, they're just canceling Dopey registrations? Who knows.

I registered for #Dopey (today) and haven't received a cancellation e-mail yet. My registration still shows up in the "test if your registered"-link posted earlier. Maybe there's no "official" policy yet, so these registrations are dealt with differently, depending on who deals with them?
 
registration cancel...I finally got through the queue and talked to someone at rD. My registration is no good. :sad::sad::sad::sad:

Guess I'll be on crazy F5 mode on from now until noon :surfweb:
