Tell me about the Disney Visa Card

Am i reading right? There is no longer a $200 gc as a reward? Its now a $50 statement credit for the standard card

I do the meet & greet every so often, I'm at the parks once a month. I've gotten stitch, daisy, Minnie...very cute pictures. One picture per Disney cc account. Don't wait too long to pick up the free picture or you'll wait forever with the rest of the photo pass picture purchasers in line. They'll add a border or title too.

Where are the meet and greets? I can't find info anywhere :(

From the DisneyRewards site:

This isn't true, at least for me. I just got a bunch of referral cards in the mail from Chase to give out offering a $200 gift card to those signing up for the standard card.

I'm glad this thread got bumped, because I've been thinking of upgrading to the Premier for a little while now. I use the card for almost everything and pay it off in full every month, so I can't see how I wouldn't come out way ahead, even paying the $50 annual fee. I've never had a card with an annual fee, though! Do they just roll it into your payment that month, yearly? I hope they're offering the credit to upgrade right now, but I haven't checked yet.

I was going to ask if the debit card works for the meet and greet because I don't have the credit card anymore, but still have the Chase Visa debit card. Glad to know that they will accept that one as well! I always used my credit card in the past.
Yes, you can get the free photo for the meet n greet. I have the Disney Chase Debit card & get my free pic with Minnie, Daisy or Stitch each time we go. You can read what is offered here: https://www.chase.com/checking/debit-cards/disney-visa-debit

It's not available online (that I know of), if we knew each other personally, I could hand you a card allowing you to get the offer. :guilty:

Oh I think I've seen them a while back but dumped them because we weren't looking for new cards. Bummer :( I'll be keeping an eye out now.

Saw some of the $200 referrals listed on eBay under "Disney visa gift referral".

I just called and upgraded my card to Premier as I couldn't find a place to do it online within my current account. Unfortunately, unless you're signing up for an entirely new card, there's no promotion going on right now. We talked about it and we'll definitely come out ahead, even with the $49 annual fee. My husband is just thrilled that I was able to get him a card to use without a Disney character on it this time, lol.

We have the standard card and my husband's has always been a plain silver/gray. :confused3

Do the rewards ever expire? I am looking into getting a Disney CC.

Yes, but they're good for 4 or 5 years. When you accumulate points and look at your balance online, they state when they expire. I've always found it to be more than plenty of time to spend them. :-)

I think when I first signed up online and I chose "Vintage Mickey", I didn't see anyplace to choose something different for the additional card. I very well could have missed it, but it's been a few years since I first got mine. Today on the phone, the lady asked me if I wanted a different design for the additional card.

Oh, I see. I've changed mine several times on their website, I have a friend who showed me how a few years ago. My husband isn't as big a Disney fan as I am, so mine is cute, his is plain. ;)

Has anyone with the premiere card redeemed points for air fare? Is it a "good deal"?

You know, I read about that in the details before I upgraded. I'd be interested to know if anyone has actually done this and cares to share their experience.
