EOS is our go to place for arrival day too! Love that turkey holiday one!
Oh, I was going to say that it is best to see the fireworks early in the trip in case they get canceled. Especially since it's a new show. That will be our priority.
I think that we will be able to get in on arrival day this time (at Saturday) since we will be activating new APs. At least, that's what I read on here. Maybe that night would be a good one to catch the fireworks show and/or parade.
Just a guess, it seems like they would only do them on the 4th, or at most the night before too. We usually go after July 4th but one time went at the end of June and left around the same time you are, and there were no 4th of July fireworks on those days.
Thanks for the character dinning summary, we will be trying Minnie & Friends on our up coming trip. This is one that we haven't tried yet.Hey everyone-Did some research on character dining. Most of this is from dlr prep school and allears. I just condensed a little and added more exact prices that I found.

It will be busy, this summer especially, but at least in July you have long park hours and late shows. Don't know if you will be able to go first thing in the morning if you have a convention to go to, but that really is best on a busy summer day. Of course, to me anytime is better than not at all!I am going in July for a convention from July 8th-12th, hoping it's not too busy. We are staying at the Disneyland resort and I am very excited!
We will be in Disneyland 7/6-7/12 and are "biting the bullet" by staying at the DLH. We actually arrive in California on 7/2 but will be spending the first few days of the trip in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park. It's the first visit for my kids! I, on the other hand, have been to DL twice before in the early 90's. These were just day trips and, obviously, before DCA. Essentially, I'm kind of counting this as my "first" time too! We are on the East coast so we are WDW vets. (I have probably already posted this info but I am too lazy to read through the thread to check!)
That's what we are doing too - Seqouia/Kings Canyon for 3 days before Disney. We are staying one night in the motel room at Hume Lake Christian Campground and the 2nd night at a tent cabin in Grant Grove. Super excited to see the giant trees.
I think Magic Morning starts at 7 and I don't have to be at the convention until 9 so I have a good hour and a half in the parks before the convention starts! Woo HOO!It will be busy, this summer especially, but at least in July you have long park hours and late shows. Perfect! Get in all the time you can!I think Magic Morning starts at 7 and I don't have to be at the convention until 9 so I have a good hour and a half in the parks before the convention starts! Woo HOO!
The reservations are not linked to tickets so you can make any you like. Unless it has changed, you can only do the ones that are 60 day or less away. But it is not so hard to get reservations as it is at WDW. The BB F! I will be making at 60 days out. The others I can wait until closer. I will probably make my WOC Carthay Circle one a little earlier than normal though due to the new show and the extra crowds that may be there this summer. I will probably do walk up for Storybook and Cafe Orleans. We are staying til Mondaaaaaay!!! Woooooo!!! No sure if DH will be down for any more park days at that point, but I may try to squeeze in a few more sit down dinners. Does anyone know how DL works for adrs? I know I can make them at 60 days out, but after that I can schedule any days after that right? Even if it's beyond the # of park days we have on our tickets? Or is it just 60 days from that one day you're trying to schedule?
