Daily Spending Limit on a Teen's Magic Band?

I am taking my daughter and her friend to WDW this summer and I know they will want to go off on their own throughout our stay (I am going to cherish my alone time). I want them to be able to buy meals when I am not there, but certainly not Dooney and Burke bags; is it possible for me to daily spending limits on their magic bands so they are not able to leave me destitute. They are usually very responsible, but they are still teens and I don't want to risk the chance of them making bad choices.

Why not have preloaded disney gift cards they can pull from? You could give her one for each of the days you'll be there, and they can be custom made & personalized! http://tinyurl.com/DGCpersonalized

I think the only way to do this would be to put one days' worth limit on there each day. When I set up my kids bands, I thought I was setting a per-transaction limit, but it was just a total limit. So I think you'd have to continually re-set it. But someone else may have more experience...I really enjoyed letting mine buy snacks, go thru separate lines at lunch, etc. with theirs! Didn't have to worry about them losing their change

Unfortunately they do not ship the gift cards to Canada. I did buy my daughter a gift card on our last trip and she lost it, so I think it would be better if her funds were attached to her magic band. I couldn't really get upset with her since on the same trip I lost my debit card and passports.

You can have limits set on MB, but I donot know if you can have it set on each individual band,
Are you on a ddp? As there meals would be set then,
Or how about telling your daughter what she can spend each day, she can keep the receipt, or you can actually check each day with guest services at your hotel.
I would let them know you have X amount on here,and if you go over charging privileges will be taken off and you will have to find me each time you want something

Pretty sure only choice for ea MB is charging privelages or no charging privelages. The MB's are linked to your room account -- the room account is what is attached to your CC.

You can't to a "daily" limit, but you can set a total limit for them. Alternatively, you can set it so that they can only purchase food and beverage.

This was my experience last week, all or nothing. I just let my dd's know what the limit was and what was approved, lunch, water, snacks etc. and that if they saw something additional they wanted for a souvenir to make a note of it and we would go back for it later. I also made sure they each had a $20 for backup in case the kiosks went down or they wanted an ice cream or something from a cart that didn't take the MB. (I know its rare but it does happen!)

Food and beverages only would be great; my daughter and her friend both have part time jobs, and since I am paying for all other expenses for two weeks plus making a seven hour detour to pick up her friend, they can pay for their own souvenirs.

I was actually wondering this myself, lol the post clearly stated she had no kids and had no idea about them because she dis not have any??
Kind of strange to then add what she gives her invisible non existent kids to spend,and how to be tough on them

Unfortunately this was not my experience last week - as I said above the option was charging or no charging! Again though my kids did well as did my niece and nephew with the "parent set rules".
