September 2015 Countdown!

How on earth have I missed this thread? Hello!

We're at WL for our twentieth anniversary, 9/4 to 9/8! Celebrating about a month early, but my work doesn't allow October vacations and this way the kids can stay with my mom and not miss any school. We're doing as many TS dinners as we can manage since we're childfree this trip, and got all the ADRs we were hoping for. I am ridiculously excited.
 
We finally decided on 9/20-9/27 at AoA. My husband wants a suite so we chose it for that reason, plus I think the girls will love it. Anyone else ever stayed there? We stayed at CBR last September. I wish it was now!!!
 
So I have a question...first time going in September...if they offer a room discount or free dining..which one do you think would be the better offer? we would have 4 adults and one child. Also do you get the room offer and FD with all resorts or just certain ones? Thanks in advance for your feedback :)
 
Had to get up at 4am MST on a Saturday, but I got all of the ADRs I wanted yesterday! BOG, Sci-Fi, CRT, and pre-opening H&V for our toddlers. So excited!

We've stayed at the AOA suites before. We were actually booked for the Little Mermaid rooms, but they upgraded us for free to a Cars suite! The theming was really great, and it was very nice to have a separate bedroom. Our girls loved the table that turned into a bed with a picture of Tow Mater sleeping inside!

Free dining always works better for us (2 adults, 2 kids, value resort), but when the offers come out, we play around with different quotes on the website anyway. I highly recommend comparing both offers, so that you can be confident you are getting the best one for your specific dates and vacation.

As for availability, room offers are tiered based on the category of the resort (value, moderate, etc.), but they generally include most resorts. Free dining seems to have become more restrictive over the years, with more resort exclusions. Even so, I'm sure you will be able to find a resort that works for you!

Ok, unfortunately, Little Mermaid rooms at AOA are usually excluded from both free dining and room discounts! AOA suites are generally included in such offers. You could always do a split stay if you were really interested in seeing AOA, but also wanted a discount for the bulk of your vacation.

HAH Just our luck..LOL Husband and I were just joking about this last night how we never score a discount, free dining, pixie dust or upgrades in the whole 20 years of going to Disney, when I tell hubby this tonight he will get a kick out of it. We truly cant afford a suite so I guess we are getting nothing this year again. Kids have their hearts set on AOA too as they have never been so I wouldnt be rotten enough to change resorts on them...( or would I? bwahah)..we shall see what transpires.
 
I'm the last September ADR!! Tomorrow (or today for you east coasters) is my 180!! I'm so incredibly excited!! I've got Poly IPO making my reservations for me, but I'm so tempted to wake up at 3 am and try my luck too. How have you west coast DISers done ADRs?

I live in California. I woke up at 3am, logged in and tried. The site was down a few times but I just kept refreshing and I eventually got all my ADRs, even BOG! I would add the credit card beforehand if you can.
 
So happy I found this September 2015 thread! It's so nice to have an outlet for all my Disney excitement!

We are booked for 9/24-9/29 at WL!

ADRs booked so far:
9/24 Whispering Canyon Cafe dinner
9/25 Lunch at BOG and Dinner at Ohana
9/26 Yachtman's Dinner
9/27 CRT dinner and MNSSHP! ( DD's 7th bday!)
9/28 BOG dinner (or 50s Prime Time if we decide to do HS instead of MK)
 
When have they been sending out Mickey mail?? I've never booked this far out before:rolleyes1:rolleyes1:surfweb:

Been seeing lots of info about MNSSHP tickets going on sale tomorrow. Hope it is true. We will be going on the 15th!
