And CONGRATULATIONS!!! party:

I'll add you

Someone recently posted here looking to share an Illuminations cruise, but I think the date was Aug 16 (although I'm not positive). Hopefully you will find someone to share with you.

:thumbsup2

Thanks natebenma. We have stayed there many times before. I will definitely let you know how our trip was this time.:)

We got back earlier this month, and I just wanted to confirm that the laundry machines near the BC quiet pool (in the separate small building) are indeed credit card payment type.

There's also a small laundry room on the first floor of BC also close to the quiet pool (sorry, I don't have a nearby room number for reference), but I believe it only has 2 sets of machines.

Great question about the products available in Marketplace vs ordering from Garden Grocer, and I did look at all the photos from Page 1, so I have an idea of the selection, but was still wondering if anyone had a reasonably up dated price list for common goods in the store, to compare against GG? Like can you buy individual water by the case (I did see the Gallon jugs)? How much?

Are you sure I can't tempt you and Mom to come over to the darkest side for a CHRISTMAS STAY??? Think of all the fun we'd have hanging out in the lounge sipping Nescafe machine concoctions as we come and go during the day. We could use the lounge as our meeting point and get together to hang out at all hours of the day. I'm thinking that a Beach Club get together at the Boardwalk is looking better and better. The Club Level there is said to be very good and the lounge looks like it has a lot of comfy seating. It will be hard to leave once we sit down on the sofas and start our "hen party" clucking!!

You should "ask your Mom" if you can come out to play. Tell her she can come too!!

~NM

PS. Janet Mom, please ask your husband if HE can come out and play at the BWI. You might have to tell him a little white lie and say you thought you saw pretzel rolls as Club level snacks, but my husband really needs his hang buddy to keep him company in the lounge.

Tempting so tempting....sounds great. Hanging in the BWI lounge sounds like a great time!

I do have a price list that is a year or so old. Every time I try to scan it in to post, I run into technical difficulties. I think the document may be haunted!

:hmghost:

Anyway, they do have cases of Dasani Water, 24 pack of 12 oz bottles, for $16. Someone who was there recently confirmed the price.

:thumbsup2

So now on to my question. My plan was to order some stuff from Garden Grocer (fruit/bars for breakfast, snacks, soda, water, and wine/beer). However, I read something recently that said the little stores in the resorts sell all this stuff for not much more (or sometimes less) than GG. Is that true of The Yacht Club?
Thanks for any help.
Sandy

Josh at easywdw.com just posted a review of Beach Club Villas and he included a price list of items sold at Beach Club marketplace. Definitely a larger selection of items there versus Yacht Club.

Hi there,

after months of lurking I 'suppose it is time to check-in for our stay at the Beach Club in September. We are 2 families (total of 9) from Oz spending 6 nights from the 19th, and we could not be more excited. This is part of a larger trip that for one family will include 4 nights at the Bay Lake Towers and 3 nights at the Disneyland Hotel (as well as "side trips" to New York and Chicago)

See you then

Dean

did you decide to drive straight though or to take one night stop for a two day drive? If I had two driving adults, I might consider driving from Maryland- straight with no stop. once we stopped in Savannah on our two day drive to visit my Dad in Dunnellon, FL.
We are stopping in Savannha Friday night :)

NateBenMa, I'd be happy to have my post added to the thoughts on club level thread. I'm just trying to figure out how to upload my pics, I have sone nice shots of our room to share.

Oops, I have a student who spells her name this way and it has become a habit...Savannah

Wow. That is a coincidence. We liked Savannah. I purchased two groupons, and not sure how I got a great rate at the hotel we snagged which was very upscale. One groupon was for dinner and then other groupon was for a haunted tour. I even brought a voice recorder and took lots of pictures. We did not catch any odd evidence. But, my group was the same as this trip- Me, mom, and two pre-teen daughters. You will have a more romantic adventure.

Just curious about who will be at YC/BC in mid-August and might be up for a meet up? We're at the Poly from the 16th through the 19th, then moving to BC until the 23rd.

And completely off topic, but my husband just searched up the theme from BJ and the Bear on youtube. And played it. Suggestions for retribution would be appreciated. Ninja mom, I'm looking at you.

We'll be at the YC from Aug 17-26th!!

Here is the link to a recent price list for the Beach Club Villas. This is the grocery service that we used when we stayed at OKW last month. For a $10 delivery fee they will deliver the food to your room by 5pm on the day of check in. They put the cold items in the frig, too. You don't have to be in the room to receive the delivery. It will be there when you return to the room later that day. We were in a 2br villa and this was very convenient and well worth the little bit higher prices since we didn't have a car. We had breakfast in the villa each morning so we had ordered things like eggs, milk and butter.

The prices on this list are the same prices that you'll find all over WDW, including the Marketplace, all the resort shops and in the parks.

I really don't know if they deliver to the BC or only the BCV.

Just 5 days to go until our first YC vacation. Started packing yesterday.

Has anyone used the Sandcastle Club at BC? We have been going back and forth over having our 15 year old babysit or using the kids club one night for our 7 and 1/2 year old son.

We have a reservation for our anniversary dinner at Victoria and Albert's.

I just need to get through the next four busy work days.
