Following along...I followed most of the CP report, too, and it was so fun to see the "inside"

I think its so cool that you guys got an upgrade, especially to the Beach Club. gotta love it there! I will admit - I would like to stay at AoA someday, but heck - I am sure you will have plenty more opportunities for that.

If I'm not mistaken, you had a wonderful view too!

An free upgrade to the BC is awesome. It is one of our two favorite resorts. But I can understand why Dale was looking forward to the AoA suite. I'd like to see what it looks like, too. Although a tour of it might be good enough for me.

We felt very lucky to be given the pixie dust. The only other time we have ever been "upgraded" was a water view at POFQ when we booked standard view. That doesn't really compare to this though

We took full advantage of the resort upgrade. We stayed at AoA in a Mermaid room 2 years ago and although the resort was adorable, we weren't impressed. I was hoping the suite would change my opinion. You're right. I am sure we will eventually stay there.

I love the Epcot resort area so there was no way I was passing this up!

oh my gosh! To not just be upgraded to a nicer room or a better view but to an entirely new/higher level resort?!?!? That's amazing! That warm, and being, surprisingly, at the Beach Club - I'd be heading right to Storm Along Bay

That was some total upgrade pixie dust I'm telling you! We never get that. Truthfully, I don't think they ever do it with DVC cause in all the trips I've gone on, it's never happened.

60% off CM rate though, man! That's awesome.

We were surprised they gave it to us since we were on a CM reservation but I think the main thing was we were a small party for a suite. Most of the other people we saw checking in seemed to be large families of 6. I think they should do more for DVC as a "thank you" to the folks who are park "regulars".

Generally it is 50% which is awesome but a few times a year they offer 60. They are also allowed to give family members a discount of 40% a few times a year.
