Just Keep Swiming...to Pop Century

We were driving down in 2 cars from the Pensacola area. The drive was the usual potty stops and searching for Cracker Barrel when were hungry :drinking1 Love the Chicken and Dumplings.
Bug knew we were planning a WDW trip, she helped with the itinerary. She just didn't know we that was where we were currently headed.

You can just feel her excitement.

We woke her about 30 minutes before we reached the big sign.
As approached we put on the Mickey Mouse Club song.
She was over the moon.
I do have a video if I can ever figure out how to share it I will.

We checked in to Pop with no problems.
We had requested connecting rooms in the 50's
and that is just what we got.

The room was clean and stayed that way after mousekeepings visits.

After finding our rooms and unpacking the cars we headed to
DTD for our dinner reservation at Rainforest Cafe.

We may have stopped do some shopping and other fun stuff.

There was scaffolding on the outside of the restaurant so I passed on taking pictures of it.

I don't remember what everyone got to eat,
but I had the nachos and not going to lie...
I was very disappointed.
Bug didn't touch her food....said it was yucky.

We didn't hangout after dinner. I was getting late and we were all
a little tired after our drive.
We hopped a bus back to Pop.

We did take a few minutes to snap some night shots of the resort.

Then it was off to bed.
We had an early reservation for breakfast with some lovely ladies.

(Magic Kingdom Day 1 Part 1)

I personally feel you cannot start a WDW vacation at any park other than
Magic Kingdom!!!
We got the park long before rope drop to activate park passes and
because we had early ADR.

Guess what she just spotted?!?

As we got in line to check in for our ADR we got to see them filming.
Don't know what for, but Bug enjoyed hunting down
escaping confetti.

It is time...

I always look for these guys while waiting to be received.

Bug and her Gram (my Mom)

Joe and G-Gram (my Gram)

ME!!!

Followed by the princesses...

Sorry to interrupt the Princess Parade,
but the food came.

and the parade continues...

We finished breakfast about 20 minutes after the park opened.
By that time 7DMT was longer then we cared to wait
and we had FP+ for Anna and Elsa for later in our trip.
So, where else is there to go...?

Bug is such a cutie. Love the look on her face when spotted the castle. What a great way to start your vacation, breakfast with the princesses.

Under the Sea
(MK Day 1 Part 2)

That's right!!!
We headed over to Voyage of the Little Mermaid.
We had PT+ for this, but opted not to use it and changed it
to Haunted Mansion for later in the day.

After climbing out of our clam shells we decided to meet

Next we took a spin with our friend
Dumbo!!!

Then it was time for our first coaster of the trip.
Now let me tell you,
Bug had been looking forward to riding a coaster for months.
We thought Barnstormer was a great starter for her.
We were right....it was also perfect for this incredible sequence
of pictures.

"We're about to get on!!!"

Going up the first hill....SUPER EXCITED!!!

Going down the first hill....not so excited!!!

Thank you :) That was the one ADR that absolutely had to be on a specific day and time lol. It was in that moment she realized exactly where she was.
