Disney's POP CENTURY RESORT Information & Questions

How was the sound coming from the neighboring rooms? Did you have a connecting door? The noise complaints are the only downside to this resort that would prevent me from booking here.
Wawacoffee - sound wasn't too bad. About 3-4 times EARLY in the morning, we heard families hoofing it to the elevator bank. The epcot morning when we left the room around 10:25, we did hear the housekeeping cart rolling, barely. Enough to know what the sound was. Our room was far enough towards the end of the bldg, that I think that helped. We saw a family of 3 very littles next to us with a couple, we didn't hear crying, anything. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised about! I'm a SUPER light sleeper, so that had me worried. Didn't even hear the rain unless we opened the door to check out.

There was a door for an adjoining room, we had my daughter's suitcase pushed against it, so maybe that helped muffle any noises, but really didn't hear anything.

We were on the 4th floor, so no sounds of anyone dancing above us, etc. All good!

Awesome!

They had removed it when we were there Labor Day.

Is the Arcade back open as well?

Thanks.
Arcade was NOT open at all Week of Nov 7-13. The game table (ping pong?) was available outside the hippy dippy pool during the week.

How are they doing the skyliner line from Pop to HS these days? What time do they actually start running the skyliner from Pop to CBR? And once at CBR, do you have to go to the end of that line? Or do they fold you into the line to HS? I’m trying to figure out the best way to get near the front of rope drop. Drive or skyliner?

Probably the best way if you want to be guaranteed to be at the front would be to Uber or Lyft to one of the Epcot resorts and walk over. They aren’t allowing cars in the DHS lot super early, and they don’t start the Skyliner super early, but they don’t seem to be restricting guests who walk in from the Epcot resorts.

But they are restricting who can be dropped off at a Disney-owned resort by Uber, Lyft or anyone else. I believe the official policy is that you need to be staying at that resort or have an ADR there to be allowed past the security gate, although some people have gotten through with only a mobile order.

Here's a thread discussing an alternative:

Are the Swan and Dolphin imposing the same restrictions? Just curious, as I am not a rope drop person.

Going to be staying at Pop in a couple of weeks with my kids. We are going to decorate our window and want to use Xmas lights. How are people attaching the lights to the windows?

Also, how far away is an outlet from the window? Need to make sure I bring a long enough extension cord.

My goal for this year was to buy an AP for the first time. If that does come through for my late July planned trip, is it likely to get an AP discount on the room? Not sure how AP discounts work for hotel rooms, but is there a chance?

I booked a preferred room for January 20-26 and am paid in full. I made my room requests at the time I booked which was a few months ago. Today I checked... no room requests! So I checked what the options were... High floor, King bed, 50's building, 70's building.... That's it! NO 60's building which is my preferred buildings!
Has anyone else come across this? Are not the 60's buildings in the preferred category?
Does anyone have an answer as to why the 60's building is not an option for me? Or what are my chances at getting a 60's room? Should I call? Any input is welcome!. Thanks

This is a known error on the MDE app. I would recommend calling to ensure your choices are linked to your account and if not, add them again. Disney IT has been advised of the error but has yet to fix it. Most who have called have reported here that their initial choices were still linked to their account, just not displaying.

Room allocations are not done until about 5 days prior to arrival so if you need to add your choices again, they will still be taken into consideration when the room allocation process is done in mid-January.

Thank you... I guess I'll wait until mid January and call if needed..

If the choices you made are important to you I would call a minimum of 10 days before you arrive to ensure your requests are attached to your reservation. There has been no indication that they are going to fix MDE so I would not anticipate seeing your earlier choices show up.

I just wrote myself a note in my calendar! I just don't want to "deal with this" after I get there! So I'm glad to have a plan of action ready to go beforehand!

You can call at any point to add your requests to your reservation. Our trip isn't for another 9 months but I've already called and had our requests added to our reservation. One less thing to think about later.
