New March 2017 Check In thread

Hi All,
This is my first post!
I am taking my Mom and my Aunt to Disneyland from 3/21-28. We have been to Disney World many times but I figured it is time to see where it all started. This will be the 1st Disneyland trip for all of us.

How fun! Disneyland is definitely exciting for a first time visitor (don't forget to pick up a 1st visit button!). I'm also taking my Mom. Should be a fun experience -- I'm hoping crowds won't be too crazy.

:welcome: Welcome to the DIS! And you'll have a great time at DL. Enjoy the laid back feeling you still get at the Anaheim resort.

Yay! The Easter Egg Hunt might be happening by then, which is always fun to do!

Tell me more? We'll be there during that time frame too and I didn't even consider any Easter stuff.
I'm getting antsy for time to go faster. We had an extreme cold weather warning this morning, I'm burned out on work, and the kids are already whining about going to school each morning. I keep waiting for the schedule to be posted so I can plan more. So far all the dining reservations and BBB are booked so there's not much left to do. I'm considering tickets for a Ducks game but holding off on it for now.

Here is a link from last year: https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/b...travaganza-continues-in-2016-at-disney-parks/

Basically, you buy a map at either park, or Downtown Disney, and you search for the giant easter eggs. They are not always easy to find (like the one above the exit for Haunted Mansion!). Once you find it, you place the sticker on your map of which egg you found there. At the end you take your map to collect your plastic egg (shown in the pics on the link above). We did 3 maps last year and chose 3 different eggs. You don't have to do the egg hunt, you could just pay for the map and collect your egg. :)

Okay, I am sure more excited than my family. Just made reservations for the WOC Dessert Party on March 28th and breakfast to celebrate my son's 18th birthday on March 29th with Chip and Dale at the Storytellers Cafe. For years we have taken pictures of our son with his two favorite Disney characters so I thought it was fun we could see them again.

We have WOC ressies March 26 (although I may change them) & Storytellers March 28. My family knows nothing of Storytellers. I have seen pics of GCH & wanted to visit for years (even more than visit DL) so this is my treat to me.

Hey! We'll see you there! We also have WOC Dessert Party Reservations on the 28th! My DH and I will be with our 19 year old DS and our 16 year old DD.

Just made our dining reservations for our 3/21-3/28 trip! 3/22 (our first park day) WOC lunch at Wine Country Trattoria, 3/25 (our rest day) a late brunch at Goofy's Kitchen, 3/26 lunch at Blue Bayou, and 3/27 (our last park day ) lunch at Ariel's Grotto.
Yay!! It is starting to seem more real now!

Rest day? What is this rest day you speak of? ;)

Rest day? What is this rest day you speak of? ;)

If we had been able to get an extra night at HOJO (they were fully booked for the Friday night) we would be having a rest day because of only being able to get 5 day PH. My dad is doing a rest day and my step-mom is doing 2. ;)

I heard a rumor in another thread that starting March 24 DL may be doing 7 nights a week of fireworks. Now I really cannot wait until our hours and entertainment schedule comes out.

On the plus side, 2 to 3 more hours and then we tell DD about her trip. This is the most excited I've been since we figured out we could go and my parents were coming with us!

Someone posted on another thread I started about full week fireworks starting 3/24. Fingers crossed. I am impatiently waiting for schedule. After last 3 trips to WDW, this waiting is killing me.

Hope your DD is excited. My son does not get excited until we are there. Last time, we woke him up the morning of, told him guess what no school, were going to DisneyWorld. His response "ok"

Oh my gosh, that's hilarious! Sometimes it takes to be right in front of the action to be excited. Hehe, I can only imagine the look on your faces though.

March 26-30: Me, Daughter, Son-in-Law, 2 grand-daughters (9 and 6) and grandson(8 mos), staying at Eden Roc. 5 day hoppers. No plans for show+meal deals or the like.

Three times to WDW in past 3 years. First time, with cousins, told all of them at once. They were all excited, but not screaming, jumping up & down excited. Second time, we told DS about 50 days out. His reply "oh so we won?" (I enter a lot of contests lol). Then "50 days is forever, like years & years" He was 5. Third time was day of.
This time for DL, we were eating lunch out & asked what he wanted to do for spring break. He said it would be cool to go to DL. We said ok let's go. (Already had it planned). He said "Cool" and turned back to the sports game he was watching on tv. :confused3 I give up.

March 4-10: Daughter (8), wife and I for 5 days in the parks. Staying at the Grand Legacy for the first time. Reservations for dinner at Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen and an appointment for DD at Anna and Elsa's Boutique.
