We are traveling to WDW in 3 weeks, staying at Saratoga springs. Looking for some feedback from anyone who has used Prime Now (not prime pantry) for cold grocery orders. Please don't bother telling me about garden grocer, I have used them a few times in the past and while they are good, they are expensive, especially when you add the $14 delivery fee to their already inflated prices. For the items I would order, GG would be almost double the price of prime now.... I can think of better ways to spend that money on vacation. Thanks in advance!

We used Amazon Prime Now twice on our last trip-- we loved it!! Both orders were delivered on time-- the first order I placed while waiting to board our flight from Dallas. Then we decided we needed another order while at Disney-- Both orders had Cold Grocery Items. We will definitely use it again

That's great - thanks for your feedback! Did you have to meet them for the delivery or did they leave it with Bell services?

Just remember the $5 per package charge...not yet on groceries and not always charged.

Is this fee charge by Disney for package handling?

We've never used a grocery service and are weighing our options for our upcoming trip. We don't need much - juice boxes for the kids and beer for us.

From what I understand Disney was Testing the $5 fee on packages delivered by UPS or Fedex. I don't know if this is now policy for all Disney Hotels.
Amazon Prime Now was delivered to us in regular brown paper grocery bags---like Garden Grocer does. We left a couple of weeks before this policy was announced.

They are currently testing this at the Values only and it's only for packages that are then delivered to your room by Bell Services.

So, if we order from Garden Grocer or a place like that, there is no $5 fee per package/bag?

No.

See above. It's a test only at the Values and WDW is charging the $5 fee for packages that are delivered by Bell Services to your room. Groceries are not included in the test.

I was going to be using Amazon because we've used it for other trips we've been on, but have since discovered that Safeway deliver! Definitely the best prices for the snack items we're needing so I'm super happy!

I was very excited to see Safeway had delivery in the area as well, their delivery prices are the same as the in store prices....unfortunately Safeway will not work for Canadian residents as they need a zip code for the billing address, Safeway's system will not accept the Canadian postal code for billing :(

So out of curiosity, last evening I made a small list of essentials we would need, I made sure the items added up to $40 so that it would be eligible for GG. This meant a total of $54 from GG, the exact same list with our DVC discount form the resort gift shop came up to $41, sure it would mean having to carry the items back to my room instead of having them delivered by bell services, however, every penny counts and I could put the $13 to better use for a couple yummy treats in the parks. GG is worth it if you have a very large order or if you can order 60 days in advance to for the 15% discount but not so much for small orders. Safeway would be great but they are not an option for Canadian residents (like me) due to zip codes. Amazon Prime Now is the cheapest option available to me so I think I'll give them a try for this upcoming trip. I'll be sure to post after our trip as to how it worked out.

I have used Prime Now multiple times. So easy and worked great. If its just for snacks and water it is definitely the cheaper options.

I had my list ready and place the order 24 hours before I wanted it delivered. The first time I did the delivery I scheduled it for 2 hours after we landed at MCO (There is a 2 hour window for delivery). We got on DME and got the the hotel in an hour so we still have an hour (plus the 2 hour window) for it to arrive. The Bell Hops told me they would receive the order for me and just to call when I got back to my room. 1am we got back to our room and they had delivered the order and put the cold items in the fridge.

My second time I ordered I did the same time we landed and we got the text message it was delivered when DME was pulling into the hotel.

Dang it!! I didn't realize there was a problem with the zip code.

Luckily I have a few friends in the US who I am sure will be willing to sort this for me

I talked to a CM and they said that I can ship to the resorts up to 10 days before my vacation.. What is the soonest that anybody has sent stuff from amazon prime to the resorts
