We just stayed at the Cabins in September.
We loved: the space, and especially the luxury of having a kitchen with a full-size fridge/freezer!
We loved: seeing our "deer friends" in the morning, grazing out behind our cabin
We loved: how very sweet and friendly EVERYONE is there - not just the CMs (who are awesome!) but all of the Guests as well!
We loved: how many of the Guests decorate their campsites and Cabins; we spent a couple of hours just riding around looking at the decorations and waving to everyone!
We loved: the peace and quiet. It is truly the most relaxing and tranquil location at WDW!
We DID NOT love: that we had to take at least 2 buses to get anywhere
We DID NOT love: that our (personal) car got covered in sticky pine tree sap that took 3 car washes to get off
We DID NOT love: the ramp up to the deck outside the cabin; if you don't like the cobblestones at POFQ, you probably will not be happy with the ramp as you bumpbumpbump your way up and down.
We DID NOT love: how distant everything (dining, laundry, pool) was from our cabin.
POFQ has the smallest "footprint" of the moderates; additionally, the Food Court has just re-opened after being remodeled (and it looks great!) When we stay moderate, we prefer POFQ every time; we love the boats to Disney Springs (which can also act as a hub to other Resort hotels) and we especially love that the theming is on point, but not so over the top that you get fatigued by it during a long stay (from an adult perspective).
