70 days! Homesick for Pop, already. And, it has only been 8 weeks since I last was there....

My DH and I arrived at Pop last night, and it has been so wonderful! I faxed a room request last Monday (I do it myself - not through Touring Plans), mentioning that we are celebrating my birthday and our wedding anniversary, and that we would like a king bed close to transportation on an upper floor. When I got my room number in a text, I went straight to Touring Plans to see if we got a king, and it said that our room (in the 80s) had double beds. I was disappointed. However, when we arrived, we checked to see if a King was available, and they said we received all three of our requests (TP was wrong!) and named them. I think this is important to mention: they DEFINITELY read and used my room request fax. We just arrived back from HS to find two cards from Mickey and the gang saying congratulations and that they're glad we're celebrating with them. I love the Pixie Dust! We didn't have to wait for buses at all today. I have to say, I really love this hotel!

That's awesome!!! We also fax our own requests. I'm hoping to have good luck too. Have a magical trip! pixiedust:

Does anyone know if there are clocks in the hotel rooms? I saw on a couple threads that clocks were being removed from certain resort rooms.

I will be checking into Pop Century in just 8 days. I just finished looking at the Pop Century Map. So far, I have only stayed in the 60's section, and the 70's section. The resort, is not small, but it isn't huge, the way the moderates are. If you study the map, no matter what section you are in, there is always a shortcut to the main building and the foodcourt, and the bus stop. I don't have a preference this time, as long as we get the connecting rooms that we asked for. Actually we have three rooms. We asked for two connecting, and the other nearby. We won't be getting there, until about 5 p.m., by the time we land, and get our rental car.

Sounds like a great time. I would recommend not the 90s section, simply because it is generally least accessible. The main short cut to the lobby and dining hall is throughthe parking lot.

So does that mean there are no clocks in Pop rooms? Are they available by request?

Right, no clocks in Pop rooms. Or any other room on property.

Yes, some are available by request. Call housekeeping from your room and if available they'll bring one.
