just booked this cruise over the weekend. Ellen and Kenny from Rockaway, Queens, NY.
I put a request in to join the "other" group site. Looking forward to this cruise and catching up on the discussions.

I checked yesterday. Halifax is there, but half of the excursions are down and being worked on. Nothing still on St John. Said as much on the survey that popped up.

Just saw the Trailer for The Huntsman Winter Wars. It premiers on April 22, 2016. Wonder if it will be shown on our cruise.

We looked into possibly using a limo but I think we'll be driving. It's a 4 hour drive but we plan to spend the night in NJ with DW's BIL before driving on to NYC the next morning. A town car is more than twice what we'd pay for parking and gas doing it ourselves. But I'll be a gentleman and let DW do the driving as I hate driving in cities of any kind.

Initially, yes we were going to park at the port.

But, we've now changed our plans and we will be taking the train up from DC. Neither of us wants to drive to NYC (and I hate driving in any city). I did some calculations and we estimate we'll spend about $50 more taking the train than by driving. We are still debating whether we want to go up the day before and maybe see a play that night, or go up the day of. It's more expensive going up the day before, but I would feel less stressed about getting there in time. Besides, we usually go for 7 day cruises and since this one is only 5 days, this will make it feel more like a week.

My DD(21) and I will also be taking Amtrack to NYC the day before cruise. We will be leaving from Richmond, Virginia. You could go see the Aladdin Play
in NYC. The play is AWESOME!! So excited for this cruise.

Just booked this cruise last night. We (myself, DH, and our 4 year old DD) are flying from Texas. Any tips on where to stay the night before the cruise? Are cabs the best option to get around?

in NYC. The play is AWESOME!! So excited for this cruise.

Who knows, we may see you on the train! Of course, we won't know until we see each other on the ship.
