Ugggg! Disney Switched EMH Days

Heads up to people with early June vacations.....I got a notification from the Dibb that my Disney Studios AM EMH day on June 5th has been swapped out with Epcot and is now on June 9th instead. In the days of paper FPs, this wouldn't bother me nearly as much, but I picked all of my FP+s based on being in those parks on the original EMH days. It really irritates me that we need plan our ADRs and FPs so far in advance(yes, I know we don't NEED to) and then Disney switches something as important to planning as EMH days. Thanks, Disney!

They have been doing this a lot lately, especially with the addition of the paid early morning and late evening hours. Also, I don't think the hours they have listed for summer and probably beyond are correct yet. Hopefully, your trip will be great anyway.

Ughhhh! That is a pain. Now you have to plan while aiming at a moving target. If this is a big game, you are leveling up!

Well this is normal for Disney. They changed our EMH days about 2 weeks before we left last year

I have read that the new FP app on your phones is really awesome to use and you can get a bunch of extra FP's . I don't know if this person went during a busy day or not though. But sounds like it will be easier to get extra FP's.

Possibly based on ADRs and FPs, analysts determined there's more demand at each park on its new EMH date?

Pure speculation - but possibly setting it up for FEA to open on 6/5. The rest of June EMH for Epcot and HS haven't changed - at least not yet.

On another note - we are 1 month out from June 1st and they still haven't updated the park hours for MK & HS. I have been going to WDW and planning trips for almost 20 years and this has been by far the hardest trip to plan for.

I thought the same thing. But I swear someone has confirmed they issued A/E fastpasses in the MK through the 11th.

We've been trying to finalize our plans for our early June vacation and are hopeful that hours will be extended for MK. I checked the app today and see that no change for MK, but AK have been reduced and it shows a 5pm closing. I thought it was supposed to stay open until 8pm through June. Did we just imagine that?

I am surprised that MK closes at 10pm in June. I usually go Sept. or Oct. I honestly thought the park would be open later during the summer.

We plan around EMH in a way it NEVER matters. Always plan ADR's at a normal operating time for the parks. Don't count on getting to BOG before the park opens and the stress is gone...

.. Then it comes back when you've planned a long night at MK and it's switched for EPCOT....sigh

Some people plan around EMH in an attempt to find a lesser crowded park. Then at the last minute EMH is moved to their park day and all of a sudden they are there on one of the non-recommended days.

If that stands and I was going in June, I would not be a happy camper.

We went last year in June and the park was open until midnight. I probably wouldn't plan a trip in June if the park wasn't open later. We try very hard to avoid being out in the peak heat of the day.

Yeah, I saw this too. Maybe just FEA the ride and not M&G. Not sure why Disney is doing anything anymore - it's just crazy.

Probably just a glitch - AK is actually open until 11pm in June.

Everyone thinks this will change - MK is open until 11pm and 12am in May. Disney is just taking forever to update the calendar.
