Inspired by a talk show I was listening to yesterday.

What are YOUR favorite things to receive on Valentine's Day? :lovestruc.

(Let's keep it family-friendly! :p )

Shari's Berries. DH travels A LOT and he knows I'm not a flower person. He sent them to DD and I about 4 years ago and now it's tradition. DD almost jumped out of the car yesterday before I had it in park when she saw the box on the porch after school. Best chocolate covered strawberries around.

My favorites are a bag of Ghirardelli squares or the Ocho chocolate caramels.

I also LOVE a fresh flower Valentine's bouquet, but they don't have to be roses, just a bunch full of color!

I never really thought about Valentines Day as a big holiday. I imagine DH will get me a bouquet of flowers. I don't like roses so that makes it easy. He gets me flowers for no special reason sometimes. That means a lot more to me than his feeling expected to buy them because of a holiday.

Dinner out. While I do enjoy flowers, I enjoy going out to dinner at a nice restaurant even more.

We don't exchange cards/chocolates anymore.

I asked for another pair of those Tieks flats. I'm hoping some flowers will also appear, and we have a nice dinner booked.

DH is rarely hone on Valentine's Day (he's a contractor and works in Washington DC about eight month of the year), and it's not a big deal to either of us. My birthday is three weeks later and his is a week after that, so if we celebrate at all, it's for our birthdays. Our DDs are taking me out to dinner tomorrow evening.

Hmmm... I don't think my DH has ever gotten me anything for Valentine's Day. I got him a little box of chocolates and got the kids each a little gift. We're not big observers here.

Usually it's a box of chocolates, but this year we've decided not to celebrate. Our kids are grownups now and I'm just not in the mood. We are going to Ft. Lauderdale in a few weeks so that's what I'm focused on. My husband is always doing thoughtful things for me and buying me thoughtful gifts...like a 2 lb. bag of my favorite coffee coming in the mail today.

Now, my birthday is another story. It's next week and that we'll celebrate.

We went out to eat today at our favorite little place in a cute Antiques Town

I usually get Godiva Chocolate- which I adore ❤️

Chocolate covered strawberries and some flowers, not necessarily roses. A nice bouquet or arrangement in a vase.

Chocolates can wait for a few days until the prices are reduced.

I have a fantasy that involves two men....

One cooking and one cleaning.

Ha!!! My mom posted a meme or something with that on Facebook and I was dying of laughter.

Seriously though...no plans or gifts this year. I guess we had a "date night" on Friday if that means going out to eat with our two year old and leaving our newborn at home with the grandparents. We thought 2 kids would have been a bit much for them to watch.
