Disney's CARIBBEAN BEACH RESORT Information & Questions

Whenever we have an ADR at Cape May we taxi from CBR to BC. Cab will pick you up in the circular drive of your building. It is about a 6 minute trip and is usually ~$12 before tip.

I'm curious how you go about getting a taxi from the circular drive by your building to Cape May? Do you call from your room phone? Does the front desk set it up the night before? We have a Cape May ADR and this sounds a bit more appealing than trekking through Epcot and dealing with Disney transportation that morning.

I usually hit the Bell Services button on the phone in our room about 15 minutes before we want to get picked up. They handle it and always come through.

They had liquid creamers in the food court that you could grab a bunch and take them to your room. That's what we did every day, we just stocked our room up every couple of days.
was the liquid creamer flavored or was it standard variety half n half?

As long as you get a cabbie that knows where they are at. Ours got lost going to MK.

Another idea.... a lady I was talking to was filling a coffee cup up at the creamer dispenser with creamer and taking it back to her room to use. She said it lasts a few days. But the individual ones work great since they don't need refrigerated.

I had to google what that was, but they just have regular milk and Silk Soy milk at WDW.
Thanks, not keen on fresh milk, I used half and half (I think) last time so will make do with that again in my coffee.

I bought the peppermint mocha flavored because it was my favorite. They also had hazlenut and vanilla at our store :)

ETA....I may be confused and you may be asking about the kind in the room. I was answering thinking you were asking about the Coffee mate to go! My apologies!

I've done both, too, and from western Canada, DL is only a few hours flying time away. However, I'll take the 6 hours of flying to go to WDW every time. California traffic is just one of my reasons! There are others...

Yes, it is possible to have fun there, my sister even prefers DL over WDW, go figure.

Interesting. We're heading to CBR this September. My husband has never been to WDW, nor have the kids. I haven't been in 14 years! We have however been to DL three times since my last trip to WDW and to Tokyo DL twice. The husband is worried he's not going to like WDW with all the extra traveling to and from parks. We adore DL, although he prefers Tokyo over Anaheim if pressed. I just hope he doesn't get fed up with all the transport to and from the parks, especially after the loooooong journey over there. If he's not a fan, I doubt we'll make the 24+ hour flight over again.

what are the preferred room check in selectin options and which would be good choice? Anyone have a screenprint of the options?

Hi! I'm staying at CBR in April with a 3 and 5 year old .. Just reading through comments. We have a standard room booked as the preferred were unavail. Can someone tell me if there are standard rooms within Trinidad North and Martinique? or should I just request the Aruba 51 and Jamaica 45 buildings? and what are my best chances at getting those buildings?? We want to be closest to the main pool and OPR ;)
TIA!!!

All of Trinidad North are preferred rooms. Buildings 26, 25 and 24 in Martinique are preferred but the others are standard.

Did this change? We got a non-preferred (though water-view) room in Trinidad North last June, building 32.

Did you request that through the online check-in?

Yes. We did book "water view", but not "preferred".

Ultimately, we didn't like the view from the room in Trinidad North, and switched to one in Aruba.

It sounds like you were given a free upgrade when you checked in. @dansdad did they change some of Trinidad North to standard?
