**June 2016 check in**

Planning on being there June 12-19, though we may move that up to the week prior. We are also considering finally taking the plunge and getting APs this year and making return trips in October, January and March.

Hi! We're going to be at DLH starting June 4-9. Knott's Berry Farm June 5, then DL/DCA June 6-9. It's me, my parents, and my DS3 and DS5. My DS5 will turn 5 on June 6, so we'll spend that day at DCA. He is a Cars fanatic. I'm so excited for the trip! We're going to Legoland Hotel for June 10 and 11 then two nights in San Diego for the Zoo and Sea World.

How fun! We will be there that same time but will be in DL on the 6th. We are going to the Legoland Hotel for my son's 6th bday in Sept. It looks amazing!

We are heading to DL June 23-28th! :yay: We are celebrating my son's 4th birthday in the park! YAY! :bday:
We are staying at DIS... Although, I WISSSSSSSSSH we could afford an onsite hotel, we just cannot this trip!

We will be arriving pretty much the day before you leave. I hope your son has a wonderful 4th birthday in the park!

I will be there for DDs 8th birthday from June 19 - 24. Staying at the new theme park Courtyard.

Oh, I'll bet that's a beautiful drive!!

It is pretty much a straight shot down I-5. Last time, we did Hwy 99 for different scenery, but that was road construction central. I-5 is kind of meh after Shasta Lake (Redding, CA). I think I remember you from an August 2014 WDW group here.

Yep, I was in that group!!

Happy Wednesday!!

I love being halfway through the week. Just one more regular old Thursday to get through before FRIDAY!!

I have a question for you...

Would you like me to make a directory of everyone's travel dates on the first page? That way we can keep track of who is where when, in case anyone wants to set up Dismeets or whatever :-)

It's cold outside here at home today...but super sunny. Makes me anxious for summer and trip time!!

We have our trip planned for June 22nd-June 29th. It will be DH, DD (15), DD(9), my niece (17), and me. We haven't been to DL in 7 years and so much has changed. I'm a super planner and I'm trying to figure everything out! We are booked at the Fairfield Marriott BUT if there are any deals we may move for a few nights to the DL Hotel. The last two times we've been with a big family group so we had a 2 bedroom suite at DL Hotel with concierge service. We are so spoiled. Planning on 5 days in the park and then we are thinking of booking a tour of Hollywood since we will not have a car and neither of us want to drive in CA traffic. My youngest doesn't like any of the big rides so I imagine our group will be split up most of the time plus I will need to plan two different touring plans.

I think this would be awesome. We will be there the 21-28. Staying at Candy Cane Inn. It will be myself and my daughter. We are going to VidCon (her Christmas present) and scheduled our first visit to Disneyland of course.

Yes, that would be nice. It is cold and raining today.

First post is updated with names/dates/hotels!!

I just cruised through the thread and wrote things down as I went, so if I missed anyone or typed something incorrectly just let me know and I'll fix it!!

Add us to the June list! :) It will be me, DH, DS 20, DD 16, and DS 13. We will be staying at the new Homewood Suites June 18th - 29th. We will have 5 DLR days, 1 day Universal, 1 day San Diego Zoo, and the rest is to be determined. We will probably drop the first day at the Homewood and stay closer to Universal the first night after flying into LAX.

We have had many DLR/Southern Cal trips over the years, but this trip may present some new challenges. Our DD who already has major anxiety issues has had joint pain since August. After many tests we've determined the most likely source is bad side affects from her anxiety meds. She had to do a very slow taper due to withdrawal symptoms and is now about 1 month free of the meds. We are slowly seeing signs of the pain lessening. Long story short (too late) even if her joint pain fully subsides by then, she may not have much stamina for all the walking and standing. I need to be prepared with how things work if she may need to use a wheelchair to reduce the walking and standing. Oh, and how to convince an anxiety ridden teen that riding in a wheelchair does not mean everyone will be noticing and staring at her. :scared: It will help DL is her happy place. Wish me luck!

So, I have to ask...are you a fan of the movie Clue? The "long story short(too late)" is what made me ask. It's one of my all time favorites :-):-)

I'm sorry to hear about DD, and I hope that her pain is much better by Disney time! I hope that being in her happy place will make things a little better for her.

I added you to the list, too. Happy to have you onboard for June!!

That saying has always stuck in my head from Clue. My mind always fills in the "too late" part. We watched again with the kids sometime in the last year and they got a kick out of it too.

Long time WDW family headed to DLR for our first trip. We'll be in the parks June 20-24. It'll be me and my wife (celebrating our 25th anniversary) with our son (24) & daughter (23). We'll be traveling from NC. The 'kids' will be meeting us there from their respective military assignments. Looking forward to seeing the place that Walt built. I was actually there when I was a year or so old, my Mom tells me. Funny, I don't recall the visit. :D

Lots of us WDW peeps heading west this year, welcome!!

I'll log your dates on the first page.

It's great that you guys are all able to come together like this for a trip!!

I know it is much too early to know, but I am really hoping that Hyperspace Mountain is still being offered in June. I am preparing myself that it will probably be gone by then, but that is one thing I will be sad to miss.

Same here! I'm clinging to the hope that they'll keep it going because of the Star Wars hoopla (I love star wars hoopla, lol!!), but I know I'm probably being delusional.
Heck, most of my Disney-self is delusional, LOL!!

I'm also trying not to worry about walls up and crowds...one thing that I'm having trouble with is determining what "crowded" means in Disneyland terms. I've experienced WDW levels of crowded, and we manage to make it work, but being unfamiliar with the California parks, I'm not sure what to expect! I've been reading threads where everyone says, "Oh, it's PACKED", and "we can barely move through New Orleans Square", but I know it's subjective - I've been in the Florida parks when people think it's unreasonably busy, but we don't find it that terrible, so here I am. Worrying about things I can't control and don't have a frame of reference for, haha!
