Disney Fantasy April 2, 2016 7D Western

I went back to look at the spreadsheet again and it is so confusing. I would like to start planning our gifts. The PDF file above I just looked at again. It has two total sheets so not sure what is what. I counted the people and came up with entirely different numbers than either one so I don't know what is up or down
I came up with 32 adults, 12 boys, 12 girls and 4 teens. Please clarify if you have time. I hate to be a pest but this is very confusing. Click on the spreadsheet and you will see what I am talking about. Some are highlighted in blue, some in yellow.....Deanna Simmons

New to the board - so I may not get all this right!
Looking forward to our first Disney Cruise - but we're a Disney Family!!! Not sure if we're past getting into a FE group (I didn't even know what that meant until a week ago!). We just booked at 77 days out - so I guess we're hoping it all works out nicely!

We'll be driving down from Marietta, GA. We are in stateroom 10534, and have the main dinner seating (not even 100% sure what that means!).
Husband and I are celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary (later in the month - but close enough!). Daughter will be 13 at the end of April - so we're letting her join in the celebration, too.

I'm going to guess that there are 3 different lists. Some FE groups break out the whole group into smaller, more manageable groups. Most people will only be on one list, however, some people may sign up for more than one.

Yes - I read it as each sheet is a different group. I think each has about 10 cabins (so about 40 people per group). My group is on the second page and has 10 cabins and 38 people. Does that help any?

One tip I found on our last cruise is to make sure you bring your swimsuit, sunscreen, and a change of clothes for dinner with you when you board the ship so that you can enjoy the pools while waiting for your luggage to arrive. Sometimes it takes a while for your suitcases to be delivered to your room so I also suggest putting dinner clothes in there, especially if you have the earlier seating.
Great tips! Any must-see shows or Port Adventure recommendations?

That is correct. Each page is a separate group. I was helping out Lizzie308 a bit but have gotten busy yet again. We decided to keep each group to 10 cabins as much as possible, that may mean the number of people may be off a bit but the numbers should be close. I did create a Google Sheets page that Lizzie and I can update if that would be easier for everyone. Just let me know and I will update it and post the link.

Welcome to the boards.

Main dining is the first dinner seating and is the most coveted as the second seating is much later in the evening and with kids it can be difficult. With first dining the shows will be after dinner where as with second dining the shows are before you eat. My whole family really enjoys the shows and we go to them every night. This includes the non-Disney shows they have during the cruise as they do not have 7 Disney productions on the boats.

If you have any questions ask away, they are a lot of return cruisers going on this trip that can help.

I am in the third group formed. Can you just send me that group. My stateroom is 2548. Please remove stateroom 2550 from the group. The other grandparents have decided they don't want to do it. Too much going on in their lives right now. So our family is in 2548 with Dick gf. Dea gm and bryn f 12. Loves Disney and sloths. 2552 has Scott father. Kimberly mom Zachary 6 loves cars and rollercoasters and water slides and sister Teagan 4 who loves Minnie and princesses and pink and purple. Remove 2550. Two grandparents. Thanks. If you could just email the page with my group on it that would be sooooo helpful. We are coming from Lawrenceville georgia. Hoping to go to the Kennedy space center the Saturday after the cruise. Anyone done that.
My email is. Deasimmons@gmail.com
Thanks for organizing this you two.

Could you just email nd my group. Remove 2550 from our family group. They don't want to do it. So we have 2548 and 2552 for our group. Deasimmons@ gmail.com Thanks again. Sorry I can't figure this out. When I printed them out the fine was 15 pages. There are no names of the groups on any. The totals were on two seperate pages. Could not tell which was the Donald group. Deanna Simmons

That would be great. Do remove stateroom 2550 with two adult grandparents. They are too busy right now to do it. No kids in cabin anyway. Deanna

So excited for our cruise! Starting to keep my eyes open for great FE gifts! In my group - yellow - which is @lizzie308 @atgamm2 @Shanna Ketelaar @Greek5 @iamsha @MomtheSaint @atlriseup @ac2483 does anyone have any favorite characters, colors, special requests to NOT receive (like someone over 21 who may not drink alcohol), allergies, or is anyone a pin trader? Just thought i would ask before i start planning! So excited and can't wait!!!

Of course we all love Star Wars! We have no food allergies or special requests! SUPER EXCITED and the kids can't wait to put together the FE gifts!
Buddy is a sorcerer Mickey fan!
I am a huge Maleficent (cartoon) fan!
Ray loves Olaf, Stitch, & Rey and her favorite color is turquoise and she is a pin trader
CJ loves Sorcerer Mickey, Kylo Ren, & Anger and his favorite color is red and he is a pin trader

And thanks again @lizzie308 for all of your hard work to put this together! i know it couldn't have been easy!

Agree, thank you Lizzie308 for putting this all together. We are GREEK5; located in Cabin 6624. Some information about us as follows:
Hubby (Peter) - loves all things Star Wars (PERIOD)
Samantha (10) - favorite color is purple and basically likes ALL things; favorite show is Liv&Maddie
Alexandra (8) - loves all things Star Wars too. Her favorite is Rey and favorite color is turquoise/blueish colors
AJ (4) - PEANUT ALLERGY!!!!! Not a high case; just can't eat them but can be around, etc. LOVES STAR WARS too and absolute favorite color is ORANGE.

Guess my main question is: will the group do gifts daily and if not then will we assign days to distribute so everyone isn't passing out on the same day?

This is our FIRST Disney Cruise. We are ALL looking forward to it.

You are so welcome :) Favorite characters in our family would be Kylo Ren for Adam and Lauren really likes Gravity Falls and Austin & Ally. We don't have any allergies or anything like that.

We haven't told our kids we are going yet so I am planning a character call for them on our long weekend for President's Day. They are going to be over the moon!

If you want to update the spreadsheet - GREEK5 (cabin 6624).

Just want to make sure the spreadsheet gets updated accordingly. I'm in the yellow group: GREEK5 our Cabin is 6624 and our son (AJ, age 4) has a PEANUT ALLERGY. Thank you.

Do you know if a more updated spreadsheet will come out closer to the time of the cruise; as I noticed other family's staterooms are not provided as well. Thank you
Jessica

Welcome Greek5.

The way we have done gifts in the past is to give them out on one day that we have time (usually a sea day) and just walk around the ship looking at everyone's doors and FE's. I really expect to do it the same way this time. We have never had a FE group that set a certain date to hand them out and as far as giving a gift everyday, we always left that for the individual person/room/group. My very first cruise about half the FE groups gave out something smaller everyday and the rest only gave something(s) once. Where as on our other cruise I think only one or two people gave out something small daily. I would like to leave it up to each individual to decide. Not everyone may have the money/time/talents to do a daily thing and I want it to be fun. :)

Of course this is Lizzie's gig and I will let her decide. This is just my thoughts/input. :duck:

OK...I have just read the new posts and Greek 5 said she was in the yellow group and cabin 6624. When I printed out the 15 page pdf attachment the other day, it has several sheets highlighted in yellow and one sheet in blue which is the sheet with our staterooms, 2548 and 2552 are on. I looked on the yellow highlighted sheet and don't see Greek5 or cabin 6624 on my yellow pages. What am I doing wrong? My granddaughter and I want to start planning things out but on the blue highlighted sheet there are listed staterooms 6118 Mandy Collins, 5046 Crazy4Disney Atlanta, 8518 Buckyfan10, and our two cabins. Need to delete cabin 2550 with the two other grandparents. So on the blue sheet we have 10 adults, 1 teen boy, 4 boys and 5 girls. If this is our group, will more be added? I guess you can tell this is my first cruise ever and I am 67 years old! I just want to get this figured out soon and I don't hear back from anyone. Crazy4 Disney Atlanta, where do you live in Atlanta? We are in Lawrenceville, Buford and Braselton. Deanna Simmons

We have gotten several good recommendations regarding Stingray City through Captain Marvin. He has a website. I talked to them and they were very helpful and nice. They have added a noon tour with the stingrays too. We had to go with them as most of the other companies would not let anyone under five participate. I have booked us with them for Grand Cayman and used Cozumeltours.com for the Dolphin Swim in Cozumel. They will let the four year old attend free and she can do the encounter activities. You can live chat with them and also I talked to them. They followed up with a question the next day like they said. the cost includes the park admission with stuff to do there and lunch. You have to take a 15 minute taxi ride from the ship which usually four people share a taxi for $12-15. We were not going to plan anything for Castaway Cay as there seems to be a lot to do there with the kids. I know my son and daughter in law have always wanted to para sail and they might do that there. Deanna
Any other tips for the trip would be appreciated. This is my first. I have been reading so much on Pinterest that I am getting confused. I have seen where you can bring a case of bottled water onboard but it can't go in your checked baggage (like it would fit anyway) but do you have to carry it around with you all day until your stateroom is ready? Wine too? I have a cpap machine and does that have to go in your baggage or can it be separate? Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with this.

Hi Everyone,

This is our third Disney Cruise (Transatlantic 2010, Mediterranean 2013, both on the Magic), but I am new to Disboards. (Actually, I was a lurker to gather reconnaissance for WDW trips many years ago.)

We are interested in participating in the FE program! Sounds neat, but we will need some direction since we've never done it :)

Deanna, it sounds like our families have some similarities - we are a group of five with two staterooms containing two grandparents, Mom (me - Fran), Dad, and our 12 year old daughter.

Deanna - you will be amazed at how little motion you feel on the ship. If it is anything like the Disney Magic (and I think it is), it is huge - like a floating city. We felt little to (mostly) no motion even in the middle of the Atlantic. So you may not need medicine at all (but it's always good to be prepared!)

See Ya Real Soon!
Fran

Fran does your 12 year old daughter want to do the tween thing at The Edge. My granddaughter says she would rather do the other clubs with her 6 and 4 year old cousins. Can she do both and maybe she and your daughter could meet each other and be pals to go to the tween thing. She is a sweetie. Her name is Bryn. She was 12 in October. Deanna

Hey there Deanna,

I was helping out Lizzie for a bit with getting it all worked out on how to set it up with the lists as this is her first time being the list master (me too I guess). If I get time tonight I am going to work on putting this on a spreadsheet over on Google Docs and place a link for everyone to use to look at it. If not tonight then Saturday.

I live in Newnan so we are basically neighbors. :P If you have any questions just ask here or send me a conversation (instant message on other boards) and we will help out as much as possible.

-Tim
