It appears they are doing a modified FD for the summer months.... Only at values and only 1 QS per day..... Not much incentive, but it's better than nothing.

Yes, not much a discount. Just one quick service meal per day and you have to purchase at least a 2 day ticket. The moderate and deluxe resorts must have solid bookings for the summer.

My guess is it is a test run to see if they can get away with it this fall as opposed to a full FD promotion.

It will be interesting to see if the free dining promo is offered again this fall. There are rumors every year that it will not be offered. The promo for last year was such a disaster. The available resorts and rooms were very limited and you could book the promo starting around 2:00 to 3:00 am on the website. By the time it was 7:00 am and people starting calling in, most of the rooms were already gone.

Not at all...there are some pretty insane wholesale room rates for deluxes right in the gut of summer.

I've been watching for months and it appears that there is a wdw slowdown taking form. But they need the revenue with all the other goings on at Disney...

I bet the management is sweating...I don't feel sorry for them.

This comes up every year...

It wasn't a "disaster"...it was a success.

They don't WANT people to have it...and they don't WANT to have to offer it.

If it wasn't available due to lack of supply then that is a near win for Disney...the only thing short of a true win which is no discounts at all.

The full free dining promo may be logistically more difficult than a room discount, but by and large it probably costs less than a room only discount for them to execute. This promo is weird. I'm sure people will take advantage of it, but it has zero lure for me.

No this One Counter Service at only the Values is a summertime promotion.... normally free dining has been during the slower periods parts or the Fall and Winter.

Yes, I know it was not a disaster for Disney but for the families who were hoping for a free dining package so they could afford a Disney vacation, it was a disaster for them.

Hmmm, interesting. Sounds like bookings might be a bit "soft" for this summer. This would be an expansion of the special offers rather than an attempt to dial them back.

But it really doesn't save you much if anything. That's what I don't get about this discount. Many times the 15-30% room discount is better than the free dining discount.
