Howdy everyone!

And Welcome to the group
for the
Disney Wonder - Galveston to San Juan sailing - January 20, 2017

I am excited to be taking another Disney cruise, and look forward to meeting new friends during our planning journey. If you are on this sailing, please leave a note and join in on the conversation, and think about joining in on some of the group fun being planned.

I am reserving the next few posts for the group roll call, the FE list, and planned group activities (like meets, cabin crawls, and mixology ). As the group grows, I will keep these posts up to date with the most current information.

Is anyone planning on staying an extra day in San Juan?
We are hoping to. We are wanting to stay in Old San Juan.
This is a new port for us. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Sorry to make you wait, pixiehallow! I was out on vacation! I hope you have a great cruise!

I thank you for taking up this task. And it is not a problem. I have been told I have OCVPD (Obsessive Compulsive Vacation Planning Disorder). As a result, I tend to get my wheels spinning long before anyone else is even thinking about planning.

Has anyone been to Grand Cayman's? This will be our first trip there, and we are looking at renting a car. Any suggestions on must see's or must do's?

Monday Bump!
Looking at flights to get an idea of who flies from San Juan, and how much to expect to pay.
We are planning on parking the car in extended stay parking at Houston Intercontinental, and getting a shuttle down to Galveston.
My husband found a shuttle for $25 from the airport to anywhere in Galveston. So, we are planning to check in to the Harbor House the morning before the cruise, and my son and I will stay down in Galveston exploring the Strand while my DH takes the car up to Houston, and catches the shuttle back.

Yeah!!!! Another cruiser!!!
I will add you to the roll call, and to the FE.
I will work on getting an FE welcome message put together that will have all of the information we will need for the spreadsheet. When I have that and a spreadsheet set and ready, I will let you know. Until then, you will need to make 5 more posts to reach the minimum of 10 post to open your Personal Message function (that is how we will share information for the FE spreadsheet - keeping the FE in the PM's allows private info {names, cabin #'s, etc.} to stay private, plus we don't have to worry about digging through pages on this thread (positive thinking) trying to find everyone's info).

Quick question- My family has been looking at return flights, which has gotten us thinking about luggage and space. That train of thought got us thinking about the FE's. With all of the FE's that I have been a part of prior to this cruise, we seem to bring home more (in the form of FE goodies) than we take (which is crazy beings that we have tended to deliver 5 different days worth of gifts each time). So, we were thinking, and were hoping to get some feedback, about limiting the group sizes, and requesting that everyone aims for either small (in size) gifts, or consumable items (such as candy, soaps, pirate lure, or something of the like). What is your opinion?

Yay!! I found the group

Me, DH, DD10 and DS8 will be on this cruise. We live in Houston and are excited to cruise out of Galveston! We have previously sailed on the reimagined Magic out of PC and the Wonder out of Miami. It would be so great if the Wonder ends up getting reimagined this Fall!!!!

We are hoping to spend 2 nights in San Juan after the cruise and fly SWA back to Hobby.

Can't wait!

Me, DH, DD10 and DS8 will be on this cruise. We live in Houston and are excited to cruise out of Galveston! We have previously sailed on the reimagined Magic out of PC and the Wonder out of Miami. It would be so great if the Wonder ends up getting reimagined this Fall!!!!

We are hoping to spend 2 nights in San Juan after the cruise and fly SWA back to Hobby.

And while on the Wonder this past November, a cast member told us, during a Magic of the Show tour, that the Wonder is heading to dry dock around September to October this year. She is supposed to be getting some upgrades, but that was all our guide would share.
For starters, was the secret deck aft deck 7 still there on the Magic?

What did they put in its place?
