Hello All
This is our 8th cruise and we are a family of 5
DW Alycia (38)
DD Paige (11)
DS Austin (7)
DD Avery (14m)
And me Mike(40)
Ages Posted are at time of sailing. We have done the FE on all of our cruises and very interested in participating.
We are from Albuquerque, NM
State room 7610

Added to FE List :) Looking forward to an awesome cruise!

Hi. We are a family of 4 from Scotland & this will be our 1st Disney Cruise.
We have 2 children age 13 & 9.
We are all very excited to be traveling to Florida & cruising on the Fantasty.
I'm hoping to get as much advice as possible from all my fellow cruisers as we've never cruised before.
Q- we are flying to Orlando on the 1st Apr, should we stay at airport overnight & get the Disney transfer bus or should we go to cocoa beach & have a night there & get a private transfer on the 1st? Thx.

We did the Disney transfer bus on our two previous cruises and it made getting the luggage from the plane to the boat a breeze! Especially if something goes wrong, like it did on our last flight! The Magical Express service at MCO was excellent- the manager personally waited for my luggage (which got on the plane without us!) and made sure it got safely onboard the boat. Totally saved our trip :)

OK I had a little spare time so I went through all the posts on the thread and put everyone who posted that they wanted to participate in the FE into a spreadsheet. If I missed anyone, apologies! Anyone else who would like to participate, please just PM me with your information and I will add you to the spreadsheet.

So far, we have about 65 participants- awesome :)
Since we have such a large number, once we get a little closer and GY staterooms have been issued it might be best to divide the list into smaller groups.

Here are some FE guidelines I found posted in another thread on the forum for those of us who are first-time participants in the FE and may need more info.

FE Exchange Information

The FE (Fish Extender) Exchange is a way of spreading a little magic to fellow cruisers and receiving some magic in return. There are no hard and fast rules for FEs, so your experience on one cruise may be very different from another. I like to keep things easy and casual - hey, it's a vacation not a school or work project! So here we go:

Cabin vs. Individual Gifts - This is entirely up to the individual participant. Some people like to give one gift to be shared by everyone in the cabin, others like to give something for each person in the cabin.

Once vs. Multiple Times - This is also entirely up to the individual. Some people will give small items a couple of times over the length of the cruise, others give just once.

When to Distribute Gifts - Whenever you want. I'm not going to create a schedule and assign dates to distribute. Some people like to give their gifts early in the cruise, while others prefer to wait. In the past, we've not had a problem with everyone distributing everything in one or two days, so I don't anticipate a problem on this cruise either.

What to Give (aka, "Will my gift be adequate?") - The original intent of the FE was to give simple gifts that people would find useful during the cruise, or that represented something about the giver - a hobby, where they're from, etc. Recently, gifts have become more elaborate, leading some to feel intimidated and uncomfortable about participating. So here's the deal - simple gifts are fine. If you want to go more elaborate, that's great, too, but if your budget and luggage restrictions don't allow for that, it's not a problem. "Store-bought" gifts and homemade items are both acceptable and appreciated. (On a related note, there have been some comments on FE pages on FB regarding FE gifts that were not up to the receiver's expectations, leading to hurt feelings and a desire by some to not participate in case their gifts might not be "good enough." I'm sure no one here would behave that way. Let's all remember that this is meant to be fun, not a barter for goods of similar value. This is not meant to offend anyone, just to remind us that the joy of this activity should be in the giving, not in the expectation of receiving valuable merchandise.)
