Still really high lately I am hoping they drop!

It's a waiting game, check everyday. I need the same for the 18-28th. I have a decent rate from Costco before those rates skyrocketed. I believe I will find a better rate as the trip gets closer.

I think you are right, it is really early and hopefully the prices will drop as Presidents day come to close.

So what is going on? The prices on cars are around 500 for a week Feb 18-25. I find that crazy!!!! Please tell me it will go down.

I check everyday and they are insane. A few weeks back I snagged an SUV for 222. for the week. I was hoping it would be lower than that but I am not sure now!

I totally agree that the prices right now for the week starting Feb. 20 are insane. Luckily, I have a small car for $209, but I think I should be able to get it closer to $150. I have an April car for $124 during school vacation week.

I got a minivan through Dollar with the AAA discount for $580 for 12 days 1/29-2/10 ... about 300 more than I'd like but 200 less than I was seeing so I made the ressie (no cc required).

Hoping to see some lower prices soon!

I got a minivan for 10 days in early January for $512 through Alamo using the Alamo Insiders log in. Couldn't find any 2016 coupons yet to add on. I chose Alamo over Dollar because with Alamo Insiders they allow a spouse as an additional driver at no extra cost.

Please let us know if anyone found anything comparable (minivan) with any other agencies not charging for additional drivers.

Are you sure Alamo allows an additional driver? I could have sworn that I read they don't do that anymore...

That's what I thought as well. I called a few days ago and they assured me they did if you use Alamo Insiders. Maybe I should check again.

Thanks for your input. Alamo does NOT allow the additional driver for free and longer. I called and the manager was apologetic that I was advised incorrectly. She switched my reservation over to Enterprise (their affiliate) honoring the price I had and informed my that Enterprise does allow a spouse as a free additional driver.

I am prety happy with the deal I just got. I went to priceline and put in 20.00 per day for a minivan and it was accepted!! And, I got Budget!! Now I think there is no additional fee for a spouse. My search is over. I am ok with that price. In total is was 247.59 with taxes. I suggest you all try that!

President's week Feb 13th-20th I am flying into Tampa. I am not sure if there is a difference in price from Tampa to Orlando. I am just so happy I got one for under 900 at this point lol

I just booked a full size SUV for $423 for Jan 30-Feb 6 through the Undercover Tourist site. It is not the price I want but is about $300 cheaper than anything I am finding elsewhere at this point.

Just checked Dollar for my February trip for GSC (2/18 - 2/22). $392 for a mid-size. Holy wow. Alamo is $506. Yikes.

I have a short 2 day with National and it is $134, I'm still watching.
I also have a 5 night post cruise with National for $333...still too high.

Dollar for a full size for $167 (booked through AAA online) - Feb. 10-18. That's down from my original reservation with Dollar (AAA) for $304. We're headed in the right direction! That's pretty close to what we did last year with Avis for same dates.
