Come out, come out of Lurk-dom!

Tomorrow will be the slowest day ever for me...last day of work before holidays!

I have a trip planned for December next year for another DCL cruise from Miami, plus time in LA, but I'll change the date to the same time the following year when the itineraries come out. I haven't been on much as I had a heart thingy earlier this year and have been recuperating.

Yikes! Hope you're feeling better!

Ah yes. Hope it doesn't go too slowly for you!

How exciting for those planning trips!

I've just been a lurker lately. Our trip for early 2017 is highly highly unlikely to happen now. For now we're doing Hawaii for a week in December, including 2 nights at Aulani, that's about as close to Disney as I'm going to get any time soon!

I definitely count Aulani as Disney, and Hawaii as an exciting trip :thumbsup2

Seems like there are still a number of us ANZACs "just lurking" around.

Feel free just to stop by and post a bit of this and that.

Off to do my virtual run at Cape Schanck this afternoon (the actual run is on a beach in California). Just mapped out my intended route and it looks like it's got a couple of decent hills... Wish me luck!

Good luck! But I don't think you need it!

I have now booked our Anaheim accom for April ( there are 7 days in Yosemite in between)
9 nights here http://homewoodsuites3.hilton.com/e...m-resort-convention-center-ANADLHW/index.html
and 2 nights here http://www.hamptoninnanaheim.com/

How exciting!

It was rather serious but nothing I can't handle ;) I just like keeping everyone on their toes. Just call me "The Impossible Girl" :)

Lol! Well, glad that you're on the mend now.

I did my run! 6k on quite a good trail. It was my first real attempt at a trail run, and I enjoyed the variety. There was only one hill that I had to walk up. It was so steep, I actually had to practically walk down it too, but it was only a couple of metres.

The views were totally worth it!

Beautiful Zanzibar. And well done! I seriously need to get more active again, and it is so much easier when you have lovely surrounds to exercise in

Thanks! I actually did have fun doing it. And then I hung around and explored some more of the park while I was there. I drove 1 1/2 hours to get there, so thought I'd make an afternoon out of it!

Coming out of lurkdom. Even though I am not Australian, as South African I feel most at home on this section of the boards. I only check in briefly every few weeks as its a bit depressing when I don't have a Disney trip in planning but I cant seem to stay away completely .

We have just returned from a 2 week trip to the northern part of South Africa. Was absolutely beautiful and so few people - very different from a trip to the US!!
We are also in the process of applying for an immigration visa to move to Australia in the next few years (without even seeing your country first :scared1:) and are planning a trip to Australia in December 2016 so am sure to be soliciting lots of advice from all of you.

Love hearing all the trip details of holidays coming up - definitely living vicariously through all of you.

Welcome :wave2:

What is involved in getting to the US from South Africa? Do you go through Europe, or are there direct options?

I'd be very interested (and I'm sure a lot of other people on this forum would be) in hearing more about your trip to northern South Africa. Where did you go? We went to Botswana (Chobe) for our honeymoon, and it was just incredible!

I'm sure we'll all be happy to help you plan your trip to Australia. Is it going to be a 'tourist' trip, or a 'find somewhere to live' trip?

If you decide to go for a run again, let me know. I won't run with you; but I wouldn't mind poking about taking pictures.
