"Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

There is more information here and links to the map: http://www.wdwinfo.com/holidays/halloween.htm

I don't think there is a published schedule for the characters during the parties. That is why these forums and sites like http://www.kennythepirate.com/2012/09/13/mickeys-not-so-scary-halloween-party-characters/ are so great. First-hand reports of when the characters start meeting, etc. Kenny is also the only place I know where the location for each character is on the map. Disney's just shows an icon for a character, but doesn't label who is where.

Thank you so very much for this information :) !!!

ok so i was wondering )Peter pan has a scheduled meet and greet starting at 3:50pm on october 27th party night( we have park hopper passes and are going to be in AK till afternoon of that day we were planning on showing up around 4pm for the party

but go with me here what are the chances of me getting in (since we have park hoppers) a tad early say like 3:30pm and trying to get in line for him, while in my costume. any chances of this happening?

If you have normal park hopper tickets you will be using, why would it not be 100%? The costume won't be a problem.

i wasn't sure how strict the rules were regarding costumes as I'm not a child, and id be entering in costume before the party officially started

No problem at all.

id just hate to get there and told to wait till 4pm before they'd let me in while wearing costume or tell me to change until the party started ha
the meet starts at 3:50 so hopefully it works out id love to get this photo opportunity and memory

We waited over an hour for Cruella?
When I met her last weekend it was only a 45 minute wait, and I got in line just before 7. When I suggested getting in line earlier it was just to get a better spot so that when she did come out, there would be less families in front so they would be through with that meet earlier.

When I mentioned to 20 minutes -1 hour, that was about the Minnie meet. The night that I met them I waited an hour for all 4 (it was a rain night and they all met together), but when I went by during another party without rain, the line was only about 20 minutes.

can someone tell me what time the 7 Dwarfs have been coming out during the party? Trying to get my schedule to where I can possibly do both them and Jack and Sally.

We attended the Oct 8 Party and it was great!! Got in line for Jack and Sally at about 445 they came out around five and we met them at 5:20. Met Jack sparrow in about 20 minutes. Met the witch and princess Tiana both with no wait. Did about half the trick-or-treating stations they were giving out handfuls of candy. I wanted the one day memory and we were running late for the party so I didn't make it to the TTC but I was able to have it added to my party ticket I already had for $41 and some change at the guest relations right outside the MK!!! That's so much easier than making the extra stop for those of you who are purchasing the memory maker just for the party. There was no line there just walked right up at about 345. Party was great!!! We all loved it!!!

We were leaving MK around 3pm yesterday and saw both adults and children already in costumes entering on hoppers or APs, so I don't think it's frowned upon at that time of day.

I was under the impression that you couldn't purchase any MNSSHP specific merchandise until the party officially starts at 7pm, but I'm seeing posts where people are getting theirs as early as 4pm. Is that right? I'm desperately wanting one of the Hocus Pocus magic bands but don't want to risk losing out because I waited too long!

4pm is when they put out the MNSSHP merchandise at Emporium, Star Traders, and Frontier Trading Post. As long as you have your party wristband, you'll be able to purchase it.

Thank you!! We were already planning on being at the park at 4 but now we'll be sure to head straight to the Emporium!

We did both, easily! We got in Line for J&S at about 4:15. They came out at 5pm....then we went to get in line at the 7D (it was closer to 5:20pm)....that was the long wait of the evening but we would rather wait pre party as opposed to post party. There was a cute group of about 4 20-somethings in line in front of us and we all played "Heads Up". I recommend getting a fun game like that...it helps pass the time! The 7D came out at exactly 6:45 and we were done before 7:30. There were about 15 or so groups in front of us for the 7D. You could leave part of your party to wait in line while you got some CS for dinner then join them back in the line with food......

We got our merchandise first thing on our first party night.....then had it sent to our resort so we wouldn't have to walk around carrying the bag :)

It really depends on CM they refused to let me in even if i went to a regular line while i had an adr i had to get to.

Just a quick note of thanks to everyone for posting your experiences. We went to our first MNSSHP on Thursday October 8th and had a BLAST! We had to go after a work conference so we weren't walking in until 6pm. But no lines at the gate and right in and over to Jungle Cruise to ride it before it closed.

I was with a co-worker who hadn't been to Disney since she was 5 (gasp) so we planned to hit as many rides as we could. We were not interested in the characters. I was so shocked at how short the rides were. Most were walk on or 5-10 minutes at the most. We ran out of time to do 7D & Peter Pan as they were the only ones with 30 min lines. We managed to ride:

POTC, BTM, quick dinner at Columbia, HM, Small World (twice), Winnie the Pooh, Philharmagic, Under the Sea & Laugh Floor. Then it was time for fireworks (wow amazing), got a snack and got seats for the 11:15 parade - really amazing - there were still plenty of places to watch in Frontierland close to parade time. Then we watched Hocus Pocus. And walked right out and onto a Ferry back to parking.

We loved all the small touches, like the Halloween lighting, etc. We really didn't think we'd get a chance to ride so many rides. It was busy but we never felt locked in. We did avoid main street until the very end.

It did seem like some of the TOT lines were quite long - we didn't want to carry around candy so we didn't do any of them, but noticed the lines got shorter as the night went on.

I can't wait to go back another year and take my DS & DH!

We were there on the 4th and the dwarves came out at 6:45 :) and it sounds like Jack&sally have bee coming out around 5:30 at the latest

They refused to let you in because you were in costume or because you were entering before 4:00p with only a party ticket? The distinction is important in addressing the PP's concern, who will have a regular ticket as well.
