Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

Yes here they are . The 4th of July offer runs June 19-July 6, 2016. It includes:
All Star Music, Coronado Springs, Riverside, French Quarter, Animal
Kingdom, Beach Club, Polynesian Village, and Grand Floridian.
Is there an offer that covers the earlier part of June?

We are arriving at the Beach Club on Friday and I am using Touring Plans so I will let you know if I got my request! They send the request with the wording "Bldg 1,Flr 4,NW-facing room.Exmple:4583,4585,4581,4579,4577,4575,4573,4571,4567"

How does this work? I subscribed to Touring Plans; but my reservations have been made with a travel agent. Does TP send the fax? I have never used them before.
Yes touring plans sends the fax. I had reservations with a TA also and it worked fine for me.
I cant remember now but did touring plans ask for your reservation number? I think that is all you have to do and click send. I have heard they do room assignments 5 days before your arrival so I hope your fax was not to late. Do you arrive this Friday or next Friday?

I just sent an email asking that and havent gotten a reply yet. I know she said she can get a few days before or after the dates I listed if there is availability . I also know last year that they had one before that but it was for moderates.

We are checking in to the YC on Sunday. We have a garden view room. What is a good location to request? How long are the hallways? Also, is there a lot of wear and tear showing at the YC?

YC is still beautiful. And request a Gazebo View. Not only do you get the garden you can also see the lake and Boardwalk from many of them. One of the best!

Call reservations directly and get them to add.

We are checking in to the Beach Club on Friday with a room only ressie. I have linked my tickets to MDE and I have a credit card on file. I also have about $200 in Disney Gift Cards. I would like to pay with everything with my Magic Band while in the Parks. (I will have another form of payment on me just in case they become Tragic Bands) My question is when will my credit card be charged? At check out? When we reach a certain $ amount?

Your CC should be charged when you reach the resort limit, which for Deluxes has now been upped to $2000. If you have not reached that limit by the time you check out, your CC will be charged around 2-3AM the night before you check out.

Good Morning - We have a standard view booked at the Yacht Club for April. We tried for a Garden view but nothing was available. How terrible are the STandard views? Is there anything i should request? This is our first time staying here and are very excited!

By definition, the Standard View rooms will have a view of a roof top or parking lot. The first page of this Thread is loaded with excellent and very useful information. The below link of the Yacht Club Room Views thread is from page #1. Enjoy!

We will be at the YC in December. I have an AP and DH has a 7 day park hopper. We want to upgrade the park hopper to an AP, is it better to upgrade before you go into the park or go into the park and upgrade on the second day? Or does it matter which day we upgrade?

Just got done making all my FP selections!!!

I'm pretty sure you have to use the park hopper at least once before you can use it to upgrade. In case you missed it, they raised the prices for APs this past Sunday, and they went up quite a bit.

That makes sense, the park hopper ticket has to be activated first.

Yes, I know about the AP prices going up. We will be going to Disney again Nov 2016, so it makes sense to upgrade the park hopper to an AP, instead of buying another 7 day park hopper ticket again for Nov 2016.

Buy the time we go next year I'm sure the prices of the park hopper tickets will be raised!!

If you bought the ticket at a discount from someone like UT then yes, it is best to use the ticket once, then upgrade. If you bought it from Disney at full price, it won't matter when you upgrade. You can do it before or after. But if you do use it first, upgrade the same day. Your AP will be dated the date you first use the ticket that is upgraded. Might as well make that the AP date too.

If you haven't paid off your room balance before check in then your credit card will be charged before you check in. I've had my credit card charged when I was still at the airport.

Just a tip - go to the International Gateway to do your upgrade. Your DH can even enter the park and come right back out again to make it easy. Those lines never seem as long as the MK lines are. And if you are purchasing a Tables in Wonderland (TiW) card, then go to the booth on the left, the Guest Relations (or is it Guest Services). The ticket booth on the right can't issue the TiW card.

Just an FYI, we upgraded our 10 day parkhoppers to AP's last week and didn't have to use the park hoppers first. We went to Guest Relations outside of Epcot. :)

I'm planning to do the same thing...only I'm just upgrading my own PH pass (on a Magic Your Way package) and not my husband's ticket. At the International Gateway, should we both go through the gate (use our PHs), then come back out to do the upgrade? GS is outside the turnstiles, isn't it?

I also have a PH pass for my December trip, (the balance is due in full for the Dec trip before our October trip, so that complicates things)...and am wondering if they can work that into the upgrade at the same time....or do I need to work with my TA for a refund on that once we get back home from this trip.

Again, you only need to use the ticket if you bought it at a discount and want to bridge the ticket and keep the discount. If you bought the ticket at full price then it doesn't matter if you use it first or not. There are no savings to bridge.

I do not believe they can upgrade 2 tickets to 1 AP. If that is what you are asking

This might be a really dumb question. I also recognize that it does not directly pertain to YC/BC, but everyone here is always in the know, so I wanted to go ahead and ask...

I went in to MDE to try and check the credit card on file for our magic band charges (this weekend is our last chance to customize our bands). It says to see front desk at resort. Last year I don't recall this being necessary (we never even went to the front desk so I know we didn't have to do that before we were able to charge to our magic bands). Is there a way to circumvent this? We are staying CL at the YC this time, so wasn't sure if maybe since we can't really avoid check-in w/ CL per se, perhaps that is why it is directing me to the front desk to set up my charge account? Would love to have this already taken care of and in order--one less thing to have to try and remember! Anybody have any recent experience with this?
