Robert, thats my dads first name and apparently (we all Yankees) there is some rebel in the blood, and he was named after Robert E Lee

Roena- my great grandmothers name.....and I hate it. Glad I like my first name- Nichole.

I won't say since it would give away my identity, but my middle name is my old maiden name. It used to be Kristine for no particular reason but I didn't like that, so when I married, I got rid of it.

Ann. I'm not sure but I think if your first name is Elizabeth then your middle name has to be Ann. At least every Elizabeth I have ever met has Ann for a middle name so I connected the dots.

My actual middle name is a form of my mother's middle name. However, I'm really not much of a fan, so, when I got married, my maiden name became my middle name. I basically dropped my middle name, & my official legal name is Wendy [maiden name] [last name].

Alyce...but pronounced Alice, after my Dad's sister. My Aunt Alice was an absolute blast, I am quite pleased my middle name is after her :thumbsup2

I know this post was about middle names but - My first name was my Mother's middle name and my middle name "Grace" was my Great Aunt's first name. The family tends to recycle family names. :)

I have two middle names...Ann and Louise. All three of my names came from other family members' middle names. The neighbors gave their boy two middle names several months before, so Mom decided that was a good way to get everybody crammed into my name, since I would be her last child.

Christopher. I think it's because I have a short first and last name, so my parents wanted a longer middle name. I don't know why they chose Christopher in particular, but growing up I was called Chris instead of my first name. You know, a boy starting school in 1957, with the name Chris, got some royal teasing about his name. I quit using it when I started college, but my family still calls me Chris.

Mine is Dale, and I don't like it. I am a woman. And I have no idea why. I would love to know.

Joyce....same as my mother's middle name (which she used all the time instead of her first name)
