I've been trying to call their phone #, and all I get is either a busy signal, or a fax sound. If you've been able to get thru, what phone # did you dial?

WDW doesn't take ADR's until Nov 1st. Really wanting to get one here now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

We're wanting a Nov reservation for our 1st night. Since this is a new restaurant, I'm worried about how fast it might fill up.

We have not tried as of yet. We are heading over there tomorrow to check it out though for sure. Inside from what we could see last night looks awesome. Not a fan of their limited menu as compared to other Morimoto restaurants though it had more to do with Disney than the Chef I hear. Looking forward more to the different lounge areas and sushi bar they have than dishes I can get at other Asian restaurants for 3/4 the price.

I'll be sure to post something up tomorrow or Friday on how our experience went with pictures of course.

I booked the other day on Open Table without any issues. Can't wait to try it next month! :)

BLAME IT ON DDP.
1) His other eateries do not have to content with low DDP reimbursement rates.
2) The rates are set for the entire year, so he cannot increase prices,
3) Thus, the menu is severely limited versus other locations.

Thanks, I tried it, but it does not appear to be set up properly for Morimoto's yet. I will try to call them today, I'm starting to take this personal:joker:

I finally got through on the phone to Morimoto Asia (407) 939-6686. I wanted to make a lunch or dim sum reservation for the 1st week of November but was told that while they are currently serving lunch and taking dinner reservations, they won't be taking lunch reservations or Sunday Dim Sum reservations for November until November. Looks like this might be the case for Open Table and the WDW website as well since neither one will let me make reservations for November either.

I made one today for 10/26 for dinner through Open Table. I checked the disney website to see if I could make one there but there was no option to.

I have been trying to call this #: 407-560-6686 for 3 days now. It is either busy or it is answered with a fax machine sound. WDW dining said that is the only ph# they have. Opentable does not work for a Nov resv. WDW has not started taking resv's yet.

I see a pp said they called 407-939-6686. I just tried that ph# and it's busy.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

Thanks for the corrected ph#. I just called 407-939-6686 and when it rang busy, I was skeptical. But I tried again, and that is indeed the correct ph# for Morimoto Asia. I made my dinner resv. Told them I had been trying for 3 days using the ph# that Disney provided. She said they had been trying to get Disney to correct the info. As usual, my friends here at the Dis were able to help me out with the info I needed.

Thanks again!

If you book via OpenTable and don't make the reservation, are you charged similarly to the Disney reservation system? We were thinking of doing this our arrival day, but traffic has the possibility of delaying our arrival time. I'd obviously cancel to the reservation to free it up for someone else, but that might not be until the day of. I think I've read elsewhere that you aren't charged, but I just wanted to clarify.

Open Table doesn't take credit card information - at least not for the restaurants I have booked through its web site.

November? Would love to go for dinner in November. Open Table doesn't seem to have any ressies for Nov

I got through on my 1st try on Thursday, for Nov 10th resv. Looking forward to a review now... hello Eddie :)

Why can't we blame him? He said yes to DDP.

I loathe what the DDP has done to Disney Dining and and its insidiousness seems to have pervaded to any new restaurants that are opening at Disney Springs. I LOVE The Edison (in Tampa) but I cannot imagine how that quality and creativity ( can you really buy enough squash blossoms to put something that delicious on the menu) be kept up when trying to feed the hoards of guests at Disney.

Big restaurant groups going for the big Disney bucks. I guess I can't blame them. I wonder about the chefs and if their creativity is being limited. The Edison is doing some good stuff here in Tampa and I really wonder if it will carry forward to Orlando.
