Official Star Wars Half Marathon Weekend 2016 Thread (Jan. 14-17, 2016)

I did a super short Duathlon on Saturday (1 mile run/4 mile bike/1 mile run) and had a great time doing it!

I'm thinking of signing up for the half through a travel partner, and I have a quick quiestion. Has anyone who is an annual passholder booked a race with a travel partner before? Looks like all of the packages come with a one day park ticket. If I don't need that ticket, am I just out that cost? I was hoping to register and book a hotel room, but looks like that's not an option.

Feel free to tell me if I am just out of luck. I think that's probably the case, but thought I'd check in and see, just in case I'm missing something.

Those packages are set by Disney, so unless the travel provider gives you some kind of break then you are out of luck.

Btw, you may want to grab the first best bib because this is selling out quickly, if not already. Your other option would be a charity.

If you're following the official Jeff Galloway training plan for the RC then training starts on Tuesday! I'm traveling for work this week so I'm not gonna follow the plan exactly but I'll try my best. This Saturday calls for 3 miles. I'll be camping so I made sure to do the 3 miles this weekend instead So excited to be officially training now!

I'm so off track for wine and dine training so I am going to try and stay on track for this training and just do my best for wine and dine. I'm already going to be off schedule as i have my POT 10k this weekend. Hopefully even though I haven't trained as much I can get a better time in a small, flat 10k than I did in a soggy, hilly Peachtree rr with 60k people.

I'm starting my official training today - Tuesdays are my more difficult Yoga Class so I rather not combine those two days. I have a few weeks where it seems I'll have to adjust a day here or there for the weekends but that isn't too bad.

Hopefully I'll have a better experience this year with Rebel Challenge than I did last year.

I just did my Proof of Time race and was happy to see several others with the Star Wars training shirts on here in Vancouver.

I ordered a hooded Ewok tank top from Her Universe. I want to be comfortable and not wear too much that's different from what I normally run in.

I'm running with a charity this year for the RC (Team Muscle Makers) so I'll wear the team shirt for the Half. Not sure about the 10k yet.

I've officially lost my mind!! I was able to get into the Dark Side Challenge last week and all I've been thinking about is doing this one at Disneyland too. Finally found a travel partner that still have bibs. Coast to Coast 2016 here i come !!

I dont know how to post pics of them, but The "I'm training for" cover photos were added by RunDisney yesterday for the Star Wars races! R2D2 is on the one for the Rebel Challenge! I'd love it if he was on the medal!

I paid $330 all up for my flights. Fly out Thursday and Back on the Monday
