Just back from RP Hospitality Suite

Hi-First I wanted to thank everyone that helped me out with staying at RP. We've been doing mostly Disney the last few years. I have to say, going there I was going to make some comparisons to Disney as far as service etc. I have to say, I couldn't say enough of good things about RP-customer service, the resort was spotless. Little things like lotion at the pool, small samples of drinks at the pool, all added up to a nice stay. What I really enjoyed, (we did stay 3 days at Saratoga Springs first), was at the pool-guess what? No pool games going on for hours on end, just nice music. I know if you have young children at Disney, that's a great perk, but sometimes you don't want to be by the pool and hear kids games for hours on end. We also enjoyed that at Universal, you could get a cold beer almost anywhere, and my husband enjoys an occasional cigar, so it was nice that he could take a break, while my son and I did some more rides. Anyway, just wanted to thank everyone for their tips-we stopped by the Walgreens by the resort to stock up on some items, and we also remembered at the pool bar, they automatically add their 18% tip into the bill, so we were aware of that too-Also, Kong is coming along-looks pretty cool, and the new resort is well under way too-it's located right between RP and Cabana Bay.
Thanks again, we will definitely be returning next summer!

Oh I am so glad you enjoyed your trip!!

We adore RP and although we are not usually pool people during the day we love spending time at RP pool. Never find it rowdy or too noisy, but it's not totally dull. Perfect fit for us. Yeah we don't want to listen to kids games all day either.........

Glad you experienced the excellent service that they provide....it really is a wonderful hotel......can't wait to get back!!

And good to hear you plan to go back next year too :thumbsup2

Thanks, they seem to really "step it up" with their customer service-also ate at Jakes, food was excellent. We walked to Portofino one night to look around, beautiful hotel, but we still like the island feel of RP.

Lynnfitz, stayed at RP three times, last time was 2008..Really enjoyed all of the stays..Hoping to do a few days in May..By then it will be 8 years since our last stay..CAN'T wait!!:cheer2:Good to read a great review!:goodvibes Have to return in '17 for the new waterpark. So EXCITING!:beach:

We liked it too! We are also glad to see that Disney now has some stiff competition! For years, WDW seemed better, but new HP is just amazing. It is like stepping into the books or movies.

We did RP and HR back to back. Each had slight pros and cons vs. the other, but I think we liked RP better. We'd stay at any of the 3 again.

Overall, we thought most the service was very good. Our first room wasn't quite what we'd hoped, and they were nice enough to let us swap (2nd room was great!), but the transition was a bit rocky. Rest of the staff was super.

Glad you had a good time, Lynn! I just got back as well and service was excellent throughout the resort. My mother kept commenting on how she believed that everyone must really love their jobs. Always smiles and have good words to share.

We are staying in the hospitality suite at the end of the month. Any pics to share?

Hi-I don't have any pics, but to be honest, the suite looks exactly like the pics at Oyster.com. Our bedroom was the hotel room, with an adjoining door leading into the suite. When you walk into the suite from the bedroom (hotel room), you're facing the small kitchen-full fridge, small sink, keurig coffe maker and coffe k cups. The main suite is very roomy, the bathroom is off of it- It was in tower 3, we were looking out into the brush, not the greatest view, but that was availabe when we checked in, and to be honest without a balcony to go on, I wasn't too concerned about the view. Tower 3 was very convenient-down to the lobby then to the walk way for the parks or city walk. We loved it, the stay at RP was wonderful-very clean, great people, great pool area. We did put some cans of beer in a soft cooler, then poured it into a plastic cup, so we did save some $ there. There was ony 3 of us, to be honest I don't know if I would spend that $ again, but I think having 2 bathrooms is priceless-so we might look at other rooms that give you 2 baths (I beleive portofino has a suite that does). Enjoy your trip!!

Yep, PBH has the Portofino parlor suites (where we stay over there) and hospitality suites too. They are more money than RPR though most of the time.

If there is only 3 of you like us we normally get a king suite at RPR. Yes, still only one bathroom but gives you plenty of space.

DW and I stayed in the presidential suite on club at RPR one time and for just the 2 of us it was way too much room.
