Hidden gems of staying concierge on the Disney Dream?

My husband and I are staying concierge on the Disney Dream for the first time in January. While I have read all of the advertised perks of staying concierge (already have our cabana booked ), do you know of any unadvertised perks or amenities that you would like to share? Or any tips in general regarding concierge stay. Thank you!!

Good question, we are doing the same in April 2016. Although I'm still having the to Cabana or not to Cabana discussion with myself.

Andy isn't on the Dream right now. It's Ashley, Emily, and Danny.

I think anyone who stayed in concierge can mention nice things and good services we've had, but I also think it varies from person to person. I'm not trying to obfuscate, but different responses might not be appropriate for different people. An example: my dad took his phone swimming at CC with him. Oops. The concierges got a bucket of rice to attempt to dry it out and gave him an additional free internet package since he was using his phone for that. I hope you don't ruin your phone to find out if that's a pre planned response, but I think you'll find that the staff really works hard to provide top notch service. That's just one example.

Good point about the service of the staff. I understand that it would be dependent on an individual's needs. I was referring more to things like the popcorn or the print. Are there special character interactions that you can't get anywhere else? Or are there special cocktails to ask for? Thank you

There is nothing hidden. It's all out in the open for everyone to know about. Now if you have a different need, ask them and perhaps they help. And then you'll post about it and it won't be hidden either.

How can you not love Andy? I often wake my kids up for school now with my Andy impersonation: "GOOOOOD MOOOOOORRRRRRRNINGGGGG! It's a BEAUUUUUUUTIFUL day! How are you DOOOOOOING?"

I've never met him, but I've always seen the positive reviews and wondered if that was the "much loved concierge" who you weren't enamored with.

When I was on the dream the at sea day they had a character meet and greet with goofy on the sun deck. they also have a happy hour twice a day before the dinner seating's all drinks are free. also one of the days they had a cocktail hour on the sun deck all drinks free again. and Danny was the best going out of his way to help with any question I had.

We just got off this past monday after doing a B2b in concierge and the hosts are Ashely, Danny, and Angeline. The do a great job handling whatever you need. Some of the things they did for us:

1. would book Palo or Remy ( or modify)
2. returned our DD nursery band and issued our account the credit.
3. printed an account statement the night before we disembarked so we could check our charges.
4. provided popcorn and rice crispy treats as needed for our DD.
5. our bartender was always willing to mix us up a fun drink each night.
6. got the princess gathering tickets for us as well as Anna and Elsa
7. we requested specific drinks in our cabana and it was handled.
8. reprinted keys for us when ours stopped working.

All of the folks on the Concierge staff have been wonderful with our Family. But for us, it's simple Andy is the Best.

We felt like the best service consistently came from Danny but we have never had Andy.

I'm not sure because we don't do CL at the parks. Don't stay long enough to really get the benefit.

You also get your own table at the MDRs.

I agree about Danny....we really enjoyed talking to him and learning more about his country (Bulgaria). We liked Andy in small doses.

You had me at rice krispy treats. Are they wrapped?? Plain or coated? Loved your list.

Wrapped, they are mickey head shaped and usually they have both the chocolate coated and plain.

Are you in a category V, T, or R? DH and I stayed in a cat T on the Dream two years ago, and none of the concierge hosts mentioned that we could have dinner from the MDRs and hot breakfast items delivered to our room. Nothing in the printed materials about that either. I knew about those perks because I had read about them here, but I still forgot about the hot breakfast when we were onboard.

According to the Passporter's Disney Cruise Line and Its Ports of Call, suite guests can book massages in their rooms or on their verandahs. I don't remember ever hearing about that perk onboard.
