"Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

Just sent a comment by email. I'm really angry I spent so much money for an event that so many people got to experience for free. Not to beat the "Universal does it better" horse but they know how to get people out of their park for Halloween Horror Nights. Disney should be able to devise some system to ensure anyone who didn't pay for the party is out of the park.

here is my two thoughts.. the last time i went was Sept. 2010 where we went twice to the party, and then the two years before that, for my bday in October. So having been a handful of times, i can remember that the lines for the characters were always long. We lined up at 6pm for Snow White and the 7D. We lucked out and found Donald and Daisy coming out and were 2nd in line. By the time we were done and for the rest of the night the line was HUGE. There was Cinderella's carriage and it had a long line every time. Once it wasn't that long near the end of the night, so we stood in it and it was so slow. The trick or treat lines were mostly always long early in the evening. The dance party at the Horseshoe was always crowded plus you had to go inside to get to a trick or treat station. So, despite hearing all the bad reviews of the 1st party, i'm just reminding myself that it sounds like what i remembered. We'll have a good time going in October. This time we have DD1 and DD4 so it is harder to wait to do things til later b/c they may fall asleep. I thought the map looked great as far as lots of characters and treat stations.

I also sent an email. My party isn't until Halloween, but I want them to know right away there's a problem, and if it can get remedied earlier, the better. I'm so mad they're not caring about it. It's ridiculous! I paid a lot of money to enjoy those perks, and now to know people are just getting by for free? No way.

Wow. if people who didn't have tickets were allowed to stay that is a BIG no-no. I am curious to see what happens tomorrow night!

Question: if our tickets are linked to our magic bands and we will be in the park before 4, how do we get our wrist bands?

Can someone help me out about photopass/ride photos during the party? Unless they have the one night Memory Maker option late Sept, we won't be getting Mem Maker as we are just going for the party. We have magic bands linked from prior trips, but are staying at SoG this time, so no new ones. I am hoping to link our party tix to the bands when we get them (have to buy them in person hopefully the day before our party). Anyways, will our ride photos automatically link up to us from the bands? or will we need to claim them with the bands after each ride? or will we need to claim them with hard media??? And photo pass photogs will be able to scan our bands, not have to use a card correct?

They ARE going to have the party MemoryMaker available.

You can link your party tickets to your existing bands.

Your ride photos should automaticlaly link if you are wearing a MagicBand.

Photographers can scan your Bands - you don't need to use a separate card.

There should be stations in the park to get your band. Typically one across from PotC and one in Tomorrowland. I think someone said Frontierland had one last year, too.

thank you! last someone reported was the party only Memory Maker was only going to be in Oct, we're going the end of Sept. Fingers crossed they will have it early! (and the pumplin waffle sundae and vampire mickey popcorn bucket and party t-shirt--gee not hoping for much am I??)

I am a childless adult and I will be getting candy when we go....it's part of the party experience so not sure why it is surprising.

I wouldn't be surprised to see adults getting candy. But I personally would be surprised to see adults waiting in long lines for candy. While ToTing at the party is fun, for me personally it wouldn't be worth spending even 15 minutes in line, and it would just surprise me to see adults making a different choice when there are so many other fun things to do at the party. Like ride rides with short lines. :)

On the first night the only two crazy trick or treating lines we encountered were two of the tomorrowland ones. Everything else was very short.

I was one of the childless adults getting candy, I did not wait in long lines though - hence the reason I came out with a small amount at the end of the night.

What surprised me was the adults carrying 2-4 bags and getting them filled for themselves.

We are going on halloween and these posts are making me nervous. Hopefully they will get some things worked out by then. I will be 37 weeks pregnant so we aren't going to be aggressive in our plan for the night. probably do some trick or treating and then we have reservations for the dessert party. Between myself, our six year old just not being used to being up past 8 and my dad who has some back issues I don't see us staying much past the party.

We aren't big fans of crowds but understand it comes with the territory. That said it's infuriating to me that people would be allowed to stay in the park after the party begins without tickets. In years past we've always seen disney be fairly assertive in that regard.
