You know that has out Halloween stuff even though it is still summer. :duck:

Last month I saw the cutest Halloween door mat online at Pottery barn so they were offering 20% off so I ordered it and put it out.

The other day I saw the cutest Halloween cat pillow at PB and bought it and put it out. SO I haven't put out all my stuff yet. BUT I did start watching my favorite Halloween sitcoms last night :rolleyes1

There was a show called George & Leo with Bob Newhart for a year or two. The Halloween episode is just the funniest :)

Eh, that's not too bad. We still have our Christmas lights up from last year. We're THAT family.

Around Easter I told DFi we should take them down but we never got around to it and by the time July 4th rolled around I figured why bother, by the time we get them down it will be almost time to put them up again.

I have never heard of it I wonder if I can find it on Hulu. :)

:rotfl2: Okay you got me beat.

I can beat that.

I put out my Thanksgiving flag on August 1 as a gag for a visiting friend. I liked it so much it stayed up for about three weeks. Finally took it down last weekend and put the summer themed flag back up, one with pink flamingos on it.

In general, however, NO!!!! to Halloween décor until after Columbus Day weekend.

I mean, it's not like we have them plugged in so that's better right?

Dear lord when DFi put them up I swear to you he looked like Clark Griswold from Christmas Vacation. Out there with his ladder and staple gun. I kept hearing that stupid staple gun all along the house. And he didn't have an actual ladder, all we have is a step stool so the lights don't actually go up to the eaves. Nope, they are strung about halfway up the wall....klassy.

I don't know what most people do but my Dad always attached the lights to the gutters with clothes pins so that is normal to me. We always made fun of Clark for using a staple gun. I'm marrying Clark W. Griswold Jr. I mean at least we will have memorable family vacations right?

I don't know if you plug them in then you can say you do it on purpose. They are Halloween lights. :rotfl2:

We do a huge Halloween yard display and convert our garage into a walkthrough haunt. Prep started months ago, but my indoor decorations go up early in September. We cleaned out the garage yesterday so we can finish projects there. Display goes out October 1st, then we work on the garage for a month. We are part of Haunts Against Hunger that collects non perishables for our local food bank.

That's awesome. I like the charity aspect of it too.

Ooh, I just found my people! I'm just waiting for Spirit to open and for those screams on the radio that advertise a major haunted house. Those are the signals to me that it's time for the best holiday of the year!
